@Tiger Watto said:I reckon Teddy is the biggest chance to sign elsewhere, outside of that I feel the others will stay.
Hasnt Woods already agreed to terms?

Is it because they will get a controversial comment.

Blocker isn't any better. Worse actually considering he's on the clubs payroll. Easily the most brainless individual in the game.
@GNR4LIFE said:I often wonder if Blocker ever thinks before he speaks. Trying to blame the current Admin for their current contracts expiring at the same time. Well done Block.
@Geo. said:Benny and Block show concern..lol
Newsflash..there are some 250 NRL players off contract..

Gotta say that I could not infer anything specific nor any timeline from "the club's own fault"

I don't agree at all - I would expect him to be #1 signing priority at the expense of any other player on our roster, even several players combined.
He is the Tim Brasher of this current side and there would be massive backlash amongst fans. Even amongst non-Tigers followers Tedesco is generally considered to be individually the best attacking fullback in the world right now.
I would put Brooks as the biggest chance of leaving - just the general noise tells me he is lowest in the pecking order of the Top 4, but quality halfbacks are rare, so he'd easily pick up interest at other clubs if his price isn't ridiculous.
Your emotions are running away with commonsense… Brooks will be the cheapest, therefore the easiest to sign. Woods & Brooks should be the first players the club attempts to secure.
Teddy will be the dearest, and with 5-6 Clubs chasing him he is the most likely to leave. I'm sure Pascoe will leave no stone unturned and while he is every chance to stay, he is also the most likely to leave.

@supercoach said:The media including the DT has been telling us for the past 18 months that the player managers have been telling their clients not to commit beyond 2017 or if you do get a clause that gives you a increase when the cap is finalised for 2018 and beyond. So just another dig at the Tigers.
You would think they would be all over us in a positive way, we are Sydney based team with some of the best young talent in the game that play a very attractive brand of football.

He's implying, or at least making no diffirentiation between the old and new boards. He should know who specifically signed them seeing as he's been employed by the club. But instead, he resorts to hyperbowl. Anyone who doesn't know the club would assume he's talking about the current board
As for Elias. Besides him trying to paint the club as Balmain by referring to what happened 30 years ago, i didn't find his comments that bad.

I actually think that he is implying that the current management should have had one or two of these players re-signed before it got to the 1st November deadline.

We weren't talking about ease of signing, we were talking about chance of signing elsewhere.
If you try and sign your bit players before your star, then you are a mug and should not be in charge of a business.
Tedesco is the tentpole player of this side - you get him in place if at all possible, before worrying about the other pieces. Tigers did not do that last time because he was still an emerging talent, but they won't make the mistake again.
Yes there may be a bidding war for Tedesco, that is why you do not commit funds to a guy like Brooks until Tedesco is worked out, in case you need to make the call of one player over another.
Imagine the egg on our face if someone makes a super strong offer for Tedesco that we cannot match because our remaining money is tied up with Brooks and Joel Edwards and MCK. Roosters were already stung this way when Warriors went after RTS and all their money was tied to the big names already on their roster.
Who is more likely to stay at Wests Tigers? Tedesco or Naiqama?
Tedesco or Rankin?
Tedesco or Watson Heleta?
Tedesco or Rocket Rod Griffin?
By your argument the cheap ones are easier to keep.
