Wests Tigers announce Steeden as apparel partner

If said many times that logo needs to be updated as its very 2000s.

As suggested, just tweak existing logo by removing claws and whiskers and have a crest sitting behind.

I also like the WT in the crest the club has as a alternate logo.

A rebounding should always be a representation of an actual change in the organisation. And the club is going through a cultural and organisational transformation atm.

No, just no. Your premise is incorrect. The logo was designed to attract the kids, not for your now grown up eyes. It is just as good today as it has been in the past. The logo is the best in the league and does exactly what it was designed todo. It was never meant for the adults. Leave it alone.

I was in 16 when the logo was designed and didn't like it then, thought it was too busy and looked cheap.

Fast forward to today, my 5 year old wanted to draw footy logos, which you can copy from YouTube. We drew heaps his favourite was panthers and south's. He goes for wests but didn't really like the logo

Target audience is 8-13. At least that's what I was explained to me, when I put up many of the arguments years ago that have been expressed about our logo in this thread. For that audience it is fine. The point is, its not an adult corporate logo, it is meant for kids.

Fair enough- its an interesting approach. I wonder if there are other sporting organisations which deisgn the logo solely for 8-13 year olds?

That demographic has changed a bit in 20 years. Has the logo been tested with 8-13 years to see if they still like it?

And if so, what else do we do other than the logo to target that demographic? I've looked on the website and there's not much there for 8-13 year olds, particularly how they use the internet. Do we have tik tok account? Do we have a gaming presence, etc etc

I can’t believe the amount of posts on here about changing the club logo? I am for keeping it and hope it stays forever.

One thing to consider is the cost of doing this to everybody, especially the fans, who will have to pay to upgrade there gear to show support.

Really can’t see any reason for the need to make change for change sake.

Disagree - the poor fans have to pay up "bigtime" to upgrade every bloody year, because the management in it's wisdom (strictly to make a few bucks) change the jersey design at the drop of a hat.

Would not cost the fans a cent more if they are of a mind to stay updated. The others don't care - many are still wearing the Balmain Phillips jumper and the Wests Victa jumper - updating doesn't seem to worry them.

How does the Tigers Logo sit with Corporate Australia - not a real lot of them are 8-13 year olds.

Why ? I don’t get it . There’s no Balmain reference. I don’t understand why you care . I’ve now gone for wests tigers far longer than I have Balmain . Everyone knows wests own the club . It seems unnecessary in 2021. Maybe when all the penis measuring from 10 years ago , but not now . Half our squad weren’t even born yet .
But hey , I understand you’re attachment , as I read somewhere that the things we love between the age of 18-25 are generally how we roll for the rest of our lives .
I’m curious , What if when the magpies moved to C town , they changed the name to Westsiders or something . Would you still want that ? Or is it the picture of the bird ?

Dunno if these have been mentioned before... Apogies if so...

I just received my Away jersey in the post and man alive it's tiny. If you are buying one be aware you may need to size up, perhaps even radically. I bought a large, I am wearing the large polo right now, but the large jersey is really small; I fear XL might not even be big enough.

Went looking for a jacket for winter. Jeez the current options a very limited. Are jackets beyond Steeden?

I wanted a nice plain adult jumper to wear out with a small same colour logo no go !
The offerings right through the range is limited and disappointing .Maybe the club in conjunction with Steeden could get there fingers out and offer there supporters a decent clothing range its not hard very lazy indeed.

I actually think it is beyond Steeden. They appear to have a very limited production range which was one of my fears when the partnership was announced.

I will have to look at other teams ranges and see whether it is an across the board issue now isc has gone belly up

The gear is ok quality but the sizing is way off imo.
