Wests Tigers are divided, says Fifita

Benji's performances this year should have seen him playing in the State Cup but that will never happen whilst his adopted daddy is the coach.

You are on drugs if you believe that.

Spot on LaT, Can I have your dealer's number JET?

Guys are getting PICKED in the team based on being part of the 'in crowd'. Guys are NOT being dropped as they are part of the popular group.

I didn't know that you picked the team. Awesome stuff.

I'd love to see Lawrence at fullback - make it happen.

Why would you put an asset like Marshall into NSW Cup so some lazy forward can take cheap shots at him or risk him getting injured in a nothing game?!

Some of these boys arent Footballers anymore… They are Elite Athletes!

Beau just carved up Fifita on the Footy Show. Talked to Gibbs about whether or not he still got along with Andrew (joking around).

Then talked about our "separate sheds", which are "1st grade shed, and Reserve grade shed, and Andrew was in Reserve grade".

No friends among the players group for Fifita I'd say. And its its own fault, he has been sniping at the club even since he left.

Cool, well done Beau

Was very funny but not as funny as Brycie in general everyone was broken especially Benji and Beau - can tell Bryce is still mates with the boys - Not sure Fifita ever was

The show has pretty much been all tigers so far tonight. Been good to watch actually

I know a lot of people on this Forum bag The Footy Show and it's low brow humour, but I for one love it.
I've been watching it since it started and it's even better now that the Tigers featurely so prominently.
How good we're those kids from the Leichhardt Wanderers with Robbie Farah!

And how good was Robbie handling their criticism! Hilarious. For someone who supposedly hates Benji he went in to bat for him against a 10 yo when he could have just laughed along with him and said nothing.

Yeah it was good to see wasnt it?
He stuck up for Benji twice against criticism that was obviously being parrotted by kids with morons for parents.

Kid = You shouldnt give Benji the ball so much, he makes too many mistakes.
Robbie = He does make a few but that is because he is allways trying to win us games.

Kid = who's the favourite player you have played with?
Robbie = Benji. He does some incredible things with the ball that I have never seen before.

Yeah these two guys HATE each other…...

Fifita has apparently cleared the air on the Sharks website, probably because he got blasted from Flanagan.

Sharks Fifita Clears The Air

Again I open my mouth and again I’m public enemy number one at the Tigers.

I answered half a dozen questions with the Sunday Footy Show reporter after the game on Saturday night and in one of those answers I happened to mention the Tigers and all of a sudden it’s a big story.

I knew what I meant to say, but unfortunately it didn’t come out the way I meant it.

I tried to say we are a tight group here at the Sharks. Which, we are. I tried to say we are all together during the week, in the one locker room as a group. Which, we are. Then all I said was that it was different to the Tigers. Which, it is.

At Concord their training facility is different to Shark Park, the locker rooms are separate, but it has nothing to do with the players splitting up into their separate little groups. The players just go to the locker room where they are the most comfortable. It’s just the way Concord oval is set up. That’s what I tried to say but unfortunately that’s not how it sounded.

I’m sorry if I offended the Tigers players or fans, it wasn’t meant to be like that.

Anyway, getting that out of the way, I can say I am really happy here at the Sharks and pleased with the way we are playing as a team. It is only round six though, so nobody here is getting carried away just yet. We’re not giving ourselves too big a wrap. We will look at where we are in round 18-20 and then we can figure out how good we are and have a better idea of what we might be able to achieve this year.

As for myself, I’m really enjoying my footy and the older boys especially have made me feel welcome. Rossy, Fu (Mark Taufau), Taga (Sam Tagataese) were great when I arrived and it helped knowing Gibbsy from the Tigers and for him to be coming to the Sharks as well, plus Wade and Wrighty are childhood mates of mine, it’s been good to play with them again.

After Christmas Gal and Jeremy came back to training after the international stuff and since then the whole group has gelled really well.

I think I’m fitter than ever, but I’m also playing bigger than ever. Our conditioner Trent didn’t want me to lose any size and I really believe having that bit of extra size, without losing any fitness at the same time, has helped me. But I’m only young and I know if I keep working hard I’ve got plenty of improvement still in me.

This week we play Parramatta and with them struggling a bit and with us winning four games in a row all of a sudden everyone expects us to win. To me, and without putting down any of the other teams we’ve played, this will be our hardest game of the year. They have really good forwards and they will come into the game desperate. They’ll be tougher than ever, especially playing us at home where they would love to get a win up over us.

So we need plenty of support to help us get over the top of the Eels. We loved playing in front of a full house against the Dragons and it would be great to see the ground full and everyone making plenty of noise again this Sunday. Robbo against his old club, Hayne and the Eels boys and we’re going well so it should be a big game on Sunday.

Andrew.

sounds like he was one spoilt child growing up , he new exactly what he mean't to say stop trying to sugar coat it. The way the Tigers saw it was you had a bad attitude for training and turning up late , and because you really wanted to stay your having a massive sook. I remeber reading towards the end of the 2010 season reading an article on Fifita on how he wanted to be a Tiger for life , so suck it up and move on we don't miss you . Miss Gibsy though

wait till the sharks fall to the wayside once again, and then we'll see who has a dressing room divided.

Difference between the two playing rosters - Our guys WILL eventually find form. Thats the rule rather than the exception, where as the sharks are currently playing the exception rather than the rule at the moment.

The sharks will eventually end up on a losing streak, Gibbs will further injure his knees, and Fifita will continue doing the large amount of nothing he's already been doing at the sharks - it's as predictable as death and taxes really.

Havent read any more than the first few posts in this thread, I reckon its pretty poor you bringing up an injury to a player who has nothing to do with what this threads about.

Injurys are part of the game.

Epic fickle

Epic "Pot Calling the Kettle Black" there Ink. To summarise:

* Admitting to not reading the entire thread to start with,
* Bringing up that a part of my post had nothing to do with the thread,
* THEN actually clicking "submit post" thus ensuring you make an irrelevant post in said thread which has nothing to do with the thread itself!

At least my post was relevant to the topic.

Go and read the rest of the thread then before selectively attempting to put the knife in, ink, and then read my other comments re Bryce Gibbs recently.

It's not a personal attack at Bryce Gibbs - its an observation based on previous incidences.

I could have used Keith Galloway or Justin Hodges for the same example - Player that frequently gets niggling injuries putting them out regularly. You could almost set your watch to any of the above players regarding having 3-5 week stints on the sidelines.

Back on track -

Fifitas "Clarification" smacks of smooth over - What he says in the article posted by Robbie almost is as if everyone has been arguing semantics - If this was the case, Beau Ryan wouldn't have made the brilliant rebuttle comment he made last night on the footy show.
