Best part of the article is the club has not started talks with JT, a good move by the club as JT will not be in demand. Secondly the bit about all his decisions are best for the club, I call BS, and his team selections alone are a joke.

First sentence was good. Makes perfect sense and even if he was to stay, his price wouldnt be huge. But couldnt resist a dig in the second. Im not sure why any coach, even this guy who you hate, would make deliberate bad decisions (supported by the board mind you) in an attempt to sabotage his own career. Its just doesnt make sense.

I hate the bloke I make no secret of that, I am not saying he is sabotaging the club deliberately, I am saying his poor decisions which he thinks are good, are holding us back.

Which ones?

Team selections, recruitment, the way he handled the Farah situation, the BS about accountability that only applies to a couple of players, the crappy defence he keeps on harping on about but doesn't fix it, I could go on but why bother.

I could reply, but why bother.

Unfortunately, I've come to the conclusion that it's a bit of a waste of time reading your posts because I know what it is that lies ahead. And I reckon I'm not alone. So in effect, if in fact I'm right, then your constant venting isn't really reaching the target you're hoping for.

He asked, and I have no target audience, I can say what I like, take your own advice and stop reading then.

I don't rate Taylor but if the 4 sign and we make the 8 Taylor deserves a 3 year extension. You have to reward performance. His moves would have been vindicated.

I agree with most of what you say if we make top 6 i would give him another year but anything less and he has to go.
I believe he is not the right person to bring a developing team forward he seems far to confrontational.

I think people should have a listen to this interview with Kelly Egan who is inside the Club provided by tiger_pete …

Perception is not always Reality...

This article just keeps repeating Farah as if it were the only reason Taylor were unpopular with the club faithful. It makes for an easy narrative to set up the interview, but it's poorly researched and overly simplistic.

Jason Taylor knows he won't win a popularity contest among Wests Tigers fans. But he's okay with that – as long as he's winning footy games.

The fans would be ok with him if he did win a bit more often.

I don't think Taylor sets out to lose football games, but some of his decisions, combined with his press conference style, have created the impression that we have a coach who is ok with losing, and that doesn't sit well with a lot of us.

For me it wasn't moving Farah on, it was dropping Farah when we didn't actually have a replacement. We were going into games with two hookers who didn't add up to 80 minutes between them. You could argue that Farah's declining form and poor attitude meant it was time, but there's no way Joel Edwards or Jordan Rankin are better options at dummy half, and that's what we ended up with in the back end of games in late 2016.

How's the cohesiveness JT?

I'll stop short of suggesting Taylor tanked the 2016 season as part of a longer term strategy, but I do feel that there was a duty to the Club, the fans, the league and the bookmakers to make a reasonable attempt to win every game. I'm not convinced Joel Edwards at hooker can be considered a reasonable attempt.

As a side note, my phone now autocompletes 'cohesiveness' It's not even a word.

Joel Edwards never played dummy half. And Farah did it to himself by bashing the club. He was never coming back after that and nor should he have.

What about players sabotaging the club for a few dollars.

if true one would think his fellow players would take him down to that stinky toilet at Leichhardt Oval and make him lick the place clean.

Where does this idea come from that Jason Taylor solely got rid of Farah? I think that there are some selective memories here as it was/is well known at the time that Farah had burnt his bridges with people at the club who are far more powerful than the coach. The coach, on his own, would not have the power to get rid of a player who was on $750K, much of which the club is still paying. Yes, the coach did drop Farah to reserves and the freedom with which Moses played following RF's demotion was something to behold; in fact the whole team went to another level in attack but unfortunately the defence remained appallingly bad.

I don't know whether the stats showed what I'm saying or not but I was at every home game plus some away games and the difference in attack was easy to see. How will we go this year under JT? I don't know but I'm convinced that he can coach.

The coach alone can't, but he has a big say. Had JT wanted RF to stay the club wouldn't have let him go. But that's water under the bridge.

I agree our game changed without him and we looked good at times. No one can say what would have happened if he was there.

JT has it all ahead of him, he goes well he may get a new contract.

No guessing what happens if we don't.

I think we should have kept him just because he was solid in that position - granting he may have been sometimes starving the halves of the ball. At least we had position covered solidly and a strong captain. As GCT has often stated, we had a lot of players that deserved to go before him. The way the halves were bumbling the attack and defence half the time Farah's hogging was a plus and minus. The Canberra game proved that.

I once lived at Randwick so on my last day there I finally went to the races - could see ruddy nothing from the stands and swore never to return. The local footie derby is good from the hill but we are right on the boundary. Went to Gold Coast stadium near Robina (whatever it is called) and could see nothing much again and swore never to return.

You started off okay BBF and lost it as the first paragraph continued, but where did the second one come from?
