Wests Tigers' cubs must grow up

Knuckles, our young players will be much better off next season having played alongside Blair,Anasta and co. Last year…

Yeah they will be better off…..hopefully they watched their awful play and learned how NOT to play.

And we will also be better off in the future as these bums wont be hogging a huge chunk of our cap...

When we beat the big names last year,I bet you were glad we had them…

It all came apart with the Inhouse fighting and review....

Why did our season fall apart…injuries certainly kicked us in the teeth.

Losing Teddy early was the start and then having Farah and Woodsy gone for extended didnt help.

And Potter, well as straight up as he was, didnt seem much of a coach to me.

**I was NEVER happy watching Anasta and Blair in our colours.**

And when we won it had little to do with those two.

So you weren't happy when Anasta kicked a field goal in the dying seconds to break the deadlock against the Raiders that won the match. Pretty sure he had a LOT to do with that victory.

You can argue without the points leading up to the field goal it wasn't there for Anasta to slot it, it's a team game.

I was never happy watching him in our colours either. One less of Sheens' legacies to deal with this year.

That would only be argued cos people hate him, and along with Blair would rather swallow their own tongue than say Anasta did something good for us. If that were Brooks or Moses who kicked it, i'm sure they'd have got all the credit they deserved for it.

We have more than enough experience in our 2015 side.. In the starting 17 we have 3 experienced forwards in Farah, sauce and Halatau in the backs we have Lawrence and Richards… That's more than enough...

This is just classic denial, mixed in with a bit of oneeyed supporter syndrome.

Nope never liked Anasta in WT colours…but was happy when Sandow missed the penalty from in front that lost the game for Parrwa

To add to why this statement is so ridiculous is the fact that 99% of people wouldn't even want Halatau and Lawrence in the first grade side to begin with, and im predicting there will be a fair few who'll be happy to see the back of Richards at the end of next yr as well. Hell, there's even some who don't even want Galloway. But we're using them in a positive light now to suit an argument? Lawrence is the one that makes this post so funny, the guy has been the most abused, bashed and unjustly treated players for the last 3 yrs, but suddenly he's being used to support an argument that we're in good shape heading into 2015? Talk about back flipping.

He did do the odd good thing for us, I can concede that. It never justified the money he was on though and we were better off not having him here in the first place.

I know Braith's individual stats weren't great , but I'd be interested to see our win lose record in 2014 when Anasta plays and when he doesn't play

Confidence can be far more important than stats sometimes

All the young blokes spoke about the confidence they had with Anasta there

Knowing how to get the team in the right position to launch your attacks is as important as the players who get you there

GNR4LIFE,I agree with what you are saying and would like to point out, that even though many supporters and fans may or may not like Anasta or Blair, the help that they have given the young guys on the field and at training while they were there is invaluable as the young ones progress further in the NRL…

Unfortunately there are people who think they have the answers to everything, without thinking clearly....as I quoted earlier Brooks,Moses and co.all admitted at different times how valuable the experienced players were to them and how much they learnt from them.....

GNR4LIFE, hit the nail on the head, most of our experienced players will be lucky to hold down a first grade spot. When I think of experienced players to mentor the young kids, I think of players who are picked every week because their form is always around or above the required standard, I think of players who can be relied on to make the right calls both in defense and attack. Time will tell, but I think we are at least two quality experienced players short. Lets face it how many of our so called experienced players would get a run in a mid table team–not many

2014…Played 13 Won 7 Lost 6....bowed out Rd 17......

Overall Played 31 Won 12 Lost 19....38%

I guess it would be interesting to see which 4 players had the best winning percentages from 2013-2014 and whether they were still at the club ??

2013/14 Aaron Woods Played 37 Won 15 lost 22…40%

2013/14 Keith Galloway Played 28 Won 11 Lost 17...39%

2013/14 Chris Lawrence Played 34 Won 13 Lost 21...38%

2013/14 Robbie Farah Played 36 Won 13 Lost 23...36%

Next in line is Adam Blair Played 48 Won 17 Lost 31...35%

Dunno what that proves Happy ...but you asked 😕

Edit Taupau has a higher winning % but he only played 2014...Played 24 won 10 lost 14...41%

Obviously the more of the players on the field with highest win percentages improves our chances of winning as a whole

Thought Teddy's name might come up in the Top 4

Is anyone actually suggesting we should have re-signed Anasta for another year???!

He served his purpose (albeit just) over the past 2 years. He would have said the right things at the right times. On the field he crippled us.

Our halves needed this experience last year, and got it. Taylor and Kimmorley can be the experienced halves to guide them now as both need to play 80 mins every week.

Regardless of the on field quality of our current experienced players, they are all known as very strong trainers who will set very good role models for the younger players.

Blair and Thompson were hardly known as big talkers within the group. They didn't lead with their voices, nor their performances, so where does this indispensable leadership shine through?

I'm certainly not against having experienced players, but they need to be contributing and passing on their knowledge to younger players.

Would we really want 'experienced players' like Wing or Keating ahead of Brooks or Moses? Hell no. Daniela or Lote in the backs? Nope. Rose, Kennedy, Fa'aaso in the forwards? No thanks.

If we got Ryan Hoffman or Corey Parker that would have been awesome but obviously was never going to happen.

The experienced players we lost weren't leaders, they were simply older than many of our other players.
