I'll re-locate for this job.
No experience but can we get a petition, HIRE DEMPS.
Milky to be my 2IC and a lot of help from the board as I'd be a complete rookie.

Just read the Key Responsibilities for that position - vast and varied. Hope they are able to attract the right person - a good people manager with a financial background and a sound knowledge of the game and some great ideas to help lead the JV into the future. Finally something positive

Amateur hour yet again at the Tigers. This is a role that should be head hunted… Not posted on Seek. You reckon the Panthers filled this role with Phil Gould through Seek? Bloody hell

As mentioned on Twitter – https://twitter.com/trods2906/status/507050569362448384

This could be a PR stunt to help boost the club's image. To show the fan base that they are working on improving the structures at the club and they aren't sitting idle.

If it is the case that it's a PR stunt it's MASSIVELY failed - all it shows is that the club isn't professional enough to attract high quality options within the rugby league community or to head hunt for the role.

I agree with alex - amateur hour again!

There's nothing to stop any of us applying is there? Sure we're no chance, but it would be good to send in a resume just for the lol's

Ha Ha true Alex…at least it's a step in the right direction...I wonder what Sheens is up to these days

Who would we attract from the rugby league community - another Royce Simmons? These days rugby league clubs are run by professional people irrespective of whether they have a rugby league background in first grade. Wests Tigers have been courageous enough to see the need to professionally re-shape their operations and should be encouraged for taking the first step.

100% correct…GM/Senior Management roles are never advertised on seek. There are Executive Head Hunting firms companies go to for such roles....They charge a hefty recruitment fee but its worth it.....if "you pay peanuts you get monkeys!"

'A strong academic background, preferably degree level or equivalent"
"•Minimum of three years' experience in a similar position"
$150.000 plus salary - not too specific with qualifications.

I don't understand…..

The board can't make a decision on a coach for next year because they won't be here for much longer and that is the new boards job....

but we can make a decision on this?

Makes no sense to me.....

The reason for advertising on Seek is the CEO's way of saying any one can have a shot at the position. He will want to be seen as not being bias to who ever gets the job.
This is how a CEO answers to a board.
