Wests Tigers injury update

I'll be happy if he gets back this season.
When hip joints dislocate they normally take all sorts of serious ligaments and muscles with them.

bad luck for Chris.
lets just wait until get we confirmation on how long he will be missing for.
who-ever does fill in the centre position for Chris Lawrence, don't expect that player to have same impact as Chris.

a hip dislocation can be around 2-3 months. But theres all sorts of different types of hip dislocations.

Id take 3 months rather then the season. but I think injury will be a drag on till the semis

at leats its not a ACL which is what I first thought

I thought it was an ACL at first too Golden. If it's a dislocated hip he'll probably make it back at some point this year, which I suppose is a good thing considering what it could have been.

the good thing about a dislocated hip is they will return to 100% in a short time compared to an acl, eg matty bowen

look like a type of injury that would tear the hamstring off the bone :frowning: sure hope it isnt or we may never see him again :frowning:

if its hip why does the fox news website say leg injury?

because they have no idea, i joined this forum just now to let you kno its been dislocated, i kno for a fact. they will need to do a CT scan to determine the bone damage

Can remember when former Wests fullback Danny Peacock dislocated his hip playing for Gold Coast v Dragons I thought he was back after about 8 weeks . As others have stated will depend on severity of muscles and ligaments around it

does it help to say i was in the sheds when they gave him the green whistle and rushed him to hospital to pop it back in?

please let this be only a 2 to 3 month injury urghhh

it will be 4 months at the most thats the longest recovery time for a hip, shoulder is worse for recovery.

Thanks for the info Gaz.

I suppose we have to look at the bright side. If we can scramble enough wins with our depth, he will be back for our semi final tilt. Least its not a knee, like it looked on the TV.

Could of been worse. But we lose a whole heap of strike power. Massive loss.
