I think the problem is the us v them issue. Change that to we and have HBG willingly contribute funds and there would be no need to triple dip. In my mind things are starting to become pretty clear. Our board (WT that is) is our critical vulnerability but at the same time is from where we need to draw strength. No 1 has heard boo ,via emails or other wise ,for a long time . How is spruicking that you triple dip to make some profit from lidcombe a positive via your supporters
SM needs to focus on making WT work on the corporate side of things and probably needs to appoint an interim head of footy to assist both him and Benji. He needs to follow instuctions from the board but is also in a postion to assist BOF.
BOF is the key in the short term, he and the independents need to win the HBG stooges over and have them singing praise back to the HBG board. It will be a difficult task and will be made more difficult if we push for too much change too soon. If BOF can get the WT board talking about we, the first part of the battle is won.
The big problem for BOF is that more of the board are them and think of themselves as them at the moment. That will not be an unusual situation for a seasoned politician. My gut feel is that HBG sacking the independent board may just be the catalyst for change we need. While the shenanigans continue in the background BOF can use that as leverage to demonstrate the need for change and while he can't instiute that change at the top; the debenture holders can.
