Agree with you there gold on black, would love to sign up Maloney. Very underrated I believe.

Its ok to do a wish list of who we want to be the half back for next season but in reality it will be someone we already have

Moltzen , Miller or Sironen or for a cheap signing "The Flying Fitz" 😱pen_mouth: :brick: :wtf :imp: 😢 :bawling

I would like to see the club hand Miller the #7 jumper for 2012…The sooner the better, so the kid can commence the pre-season knowing that the #7 is his!.,,,Then I say leave him in the #7 for at least 6 weeks...to prove that he is up to NRL standard....that is all I expect from him...to demonstrate in 6 weeks that he has the goods to be a competent #7 in the NRL....If he is out of his league after 6 weeks then we look at other options such as Moltzen or outside...

Only problem with that Alex… If after 6 weeks he IS out of his league, You have wasted 6 weeks!!
Then you have to find another Combination.... Could end up wasting half the season!!

Halves off contract at end of 2012'
Ryan Carr, **Cooper Cronk**, Ben Hunt, Shaun Johnson, Luke Kelly, Jacob Miller, Jordan Rankin, Adam Reynolds, Peter Wallace, Luke Walsh

His signature would be hard to get, but I think this year may be Lotes last (especially if he has as many injuries as last season) so that could give us room to sign him.

Yeah I take your point…but that in my view is the best "internal" option we have...I would like to see Moltz stay in the #1 if we can help it..the only option to ensure we don't potentially waste time on Miller is to buy an established half...like an Orford...not sure there are too many reliable outside options though.

Do you mean that I have zero knowledge of the game or Moltzen?

If it is moltzen then I agree. If it is yours truly then I disagree.

Name a halfback or fullback from all the other teams in the comp, that in your opinion, is worse than Moltzen.

I think the trials are going to tell us a lot this year.

If Miller is chosen, we just need to stick with him. The bloke has already shown he has the attributes to be a world class halfback.

Chose him and train him. He will have enough support and skill around him that he isn't going to lose us games.

Orford.

I think Moltzen is a terrific player, I think the back end of the season we saw his ability.

This year, not only was he returning from a knee reco, difficult in itself for the first 15 rounds he played a different position each week.

The only place I see Moltz get bagged is on this site.

Most league people I chat with rate him highly.

We have had talks with orford in the last few weeks nothing concrete guys so don't flip out but I'm pretty confident molts will be the 7 next year

Maloney is keen for a Sydney return and I wouldn't be opposed to his signature. But we don't need a stella hb just some one with a good kicking game a bit of a running game and great passing game

ORFORD ( people seen running away crazily screaming complete chaos and madness rules supreme)PLEASE SAY IT ISN"T SO

Please show whoever the decision maker is, any of OrFull games from last season for the Raiders
Please smoking gun You must interfene
That should fix that scare :astonished:

Poor Matty Orford. I really feel for him. Manly fans were calling for his head one year after he was Clive Churchill medallist and led them to a 40-0 routing of Melbourne.

He's long in the tooth, but he'd be a handy depth signing. I'd rather a recognised halfback over another makeshift half which seems to be Sheens specialty. He'd probably lift in the Tigers team as well with a forward pack that punches well above it's weight.

I thought Moltzen was pretty good at fullback last year… he really started to get it together towards the end and started doing some good support running a la slater.

I'd like to see them start with Miller in 7 and Moltzen at 1 for the beginning of the season.

I don't think an orford signing would be that bad.. Sure he has done nothing of any value at the raiders, in reality who does he have around him?

I bet if we were up by 6 with 10 mins to go in our own half he would say " no benji give it to me and I'll kick it. I don't think it would be wise to run on the last"
