Wests Tigers roster strong enough: Woods

I hope Buchanan is re-signed, to be honest. By all reports he has a great work ethic and always seems to be a step above in NSW Cup - exactly where he'll be playing. If we keep Halatau and Lawrence we could see one, if not both of Sue and Taupau moving back in to the front row rotation (my preference would be Marty). Then if Lodge pulls his finger out and Graham continues his development we really shouldn't see Jack in the top grade outside of injuries.

8\. Woods
10\. Taupau
11\. Lawrence
12\. Sironen
13\. Sue
14\. Seumanufagai
15\. Lodge
16\. Graham
17\. Halatau
18\. Cherrington

Yesterday could well be held as an example that our roster is not strong enough - and certainly not deep enough.

When the opposition hard men are touted as being the three best on field that's pretty damning…

To be fair, the Knights have an international back row and we played with Sirro, Lovett and Sue. If Beau Scott doesn't hold up Ava then I think we get the run over them, but full credit to the Knights, their line speed in the second half never gave us another chance. They offered little in attack (and so did we after the first 15) but they ground us out of the game, it's a sign of experience. We could do with an upgrade on Lovett, but full strength with Lawrence and Halatau playing I think we get over them. Bring in Chee Kam and give Sirro and Sue the near 10 years experience they gave up to Smith and Scott and it's a completely different story. Not panic stations yet I think.

+1\. But in summary of 15 threads, we should have the depth to cover those forwards getting busted.

Yep, that's pretty much my thoughts Ryanda.

Should we rest Woods for the rest of the year so he can recover fully from any knee injury. Could blood someone for 3 games.

Buchanan the man for all seasons.

Hard to take too much notice when players make public comments, they have to be pretty careful with what they do say , and it's hard to tell if they are just making sure that they push the PC line , or if they really believe what they're saying, especially at pressers , club days, etc.
They're not going to say anything that would get them offside with the club or coach,
I would think that players would know quite well how The media can jump on a stray comment and turn it into a full scale revolt.
They're better off to say as little as possible.
