I cant get over the bagging of the management. For mine, teh current board have been slowly, surely fixing things, setting things in the right direction. Particularly since Pascoe has been here.
This decision for mine is the latest example of this. There is no way they could let this drag on and on and on, particularly when they have 20 something players off contract at the end of the year. Forget the Big 4, we have pretty much a whole squad to re-sign and if they go, we need to attract good replacements. Need an attractive coach in place to do that.
All this talk about the Big 4 calling the shots is IMO rubbish, but for arguments sake if Teddy wanted to leave because he could see no improvement at the club, you'd let him go and keep JT?

dazza 65, You are spot on, I watched yesterdays game 7 i dont think to many players tried. Yep doesnt sound good does it? but that is how nit looked to me. We need a clean out of players & we cant carry to Halfs who cant tackle, I would let Brooks go & keep Moses & there are other player who should be shown the door.

It never surprises me the change you see in a group of people when a leader changes. The same bad performing group can improve and sometimes exceed expectations significantly. Yes and sometimes they get worse but cup half full after only 3 rounds works for me.

Oh & whoever the new coach is, he needs to bring around 1/2 dozen hardened 1st grade players with him!
Never been a fan of Taylor, and if the replacement ends up being Payten, sacking him may be a backwards move. However if it is Cleary. Its a good move to do it early in the season. I suspect that this has been on the cards last year but the board didn't want to do it so soon after Farah was moved on.

Starting to think about it, IF Cleary was to come this year, he is going to have difficulty putting together the coaching team he wants and I assume h ewill have to adopt Taylors team to start with. Im sure Cleary would have some friends still at the Warriors that would give him the heads up on Webster and would know Pascoe from Penrith
