Wests Tigers sign Blair, Reddy and Bell

Am I the only tigers fan whos not disappointed that Gibbs is leaving . He has a lot a talent but he seems to have reached his peak at the tigers. I thought he would have had more impact by now so I hope he goes well . Can anyone tell me how long Robert Lui will be at the club. Am I the only fan who is expecting more of Lui ?

There is 1 more signing to announce with 2 more contracts being negotiated. As far as I know the 1 signing is an outside back and the other 2 one is a half the other is an outside back.

If you do the maths, the only way what you are saying could happen is if we lose more players, and those to be signed are duds!

We had salary cap issues last year (we copped a fine earlier this year), have upgraded contracts, signed Lawrence on a long term deal, paid Blair for a fortune, signed Reddy and Bell. We've lost Gibbs, Fifita, Moltzen and McKinnon and Beau (is this officiallly, official yet).

I just don't see how we will have room under the cap for any further signings of players with any sort of profile.

I would love Michael Gordon in WT colours playing full back and kicking goals but I don't see Penrith letting him go.

Tony Williams or Daniel Vidot would be two big strong wingers. Williams is lazy but Vidot would be a great addition.

With smoking gun talking about signing another half back does this mean Lui is moving on?

Looks like we will be fielding a big physical side next year. I hope Dwyer is part of it.

Fulton as a ball playing lock could compliment a large size pack. Play a Dallas Johnson role for us.

Excited about Groat coming through the ranks and BMM having an offseason behind him.

Bring on 2012.

Very happy with all 3 signings, epsecially Bell. I think he will be just what we need-a big, solid, straight running prop. Just what everyone's been asking for!

Agree S-Q, I just hope he fairs better than the last Prop we signed from Penrith.. ie. Moors

Even though he is putting a downer on a postive thing, Ink does have a point. By the time the Tigers "officially" announced Blair, everybody new and didnt care. But maybe it was just one of those things that couldnt be helped….......with all the negotiating that obviously went on with a number of players, maybe they had no choice but to wait. Too many leaks.

And those hoping for Gordon are dreaming, theres just no way we are signing him.

I'd back Vidot to be one signing.

I didnt expect major stuff, but I was surpriised I saw nothing on TV, the death of some AFL coach & the Mal & Ricky show stealing the limelight.
Good its out and the other signings, hopefully we can move on.

But because its been known for a while it has been drawn out over a period of time meaning MORE exposure in TV and newspapers.
And everybody knows that he has now officially signed for us, I've seen it mentioned in all major news sources. - job done.

great signings for the club ( blair is without doubt a world class player ), and hopefully some more to come. now to move on and hopefully without the white-anting that seems to be in the club at the moment. next season when we are kicking butt those that are gone will be distant memories.

Im surprised at some reactions . Gibbs has gone that's a positive, Mckinnon as well even better , Ryan hopefully as well which will be the icing on the cake and hopefully Lui will go too. Fifita had already agreed to stay but lured away by the dollar and Motlzen is a loss but that has been cancelled out by reddy . Fifita was ok but Blair is a bigger purchase to the club than Ellis and with more players to come and a strong lower grade I have already emailed Stephen Humphries to congratulate him on astute and thoughtful purchases . The tigers look good for the years ahead especially now that Heinington is staying
