Put it this way if it keeps Godinet/Macca in reggies and ET in the backrow it has a lot of plusses. We need a hooker this year we may still miss out on the semis but our chances will improve.
Definately not for 2019

greetings old friends (and some foes)

robbie robbie robbie….
what a sagaaaaaa !

in my humble opinion, i didnt ever think he should have been shown the door in the manner he was.
I always believed it was the coach of the day that not only cause him to be leave, but triggered the movement of teddy moses and woods also.

Its funny how, once an established, well respected and actual great coach came to the club, EVERYTHING changed ! !
but i regress......

so Farah.... i would never have thought he would return.
In many ways i would never have thought he would have wanted to return.
i actually thought he was going to canberra this year.
not that im a fan of sticky's but he seems to rate farah pretty highly.

SO
does the club need a proper hooker - yes !

could this actually be the fairy tale for him and benji.... that their wildest dreams would never have thought possible.......

whether they win the comp or not - coming home ... eating humble pie... no dramas .... playing great footy...and signing off happy.....
well thats a win win for everyone !

an absolute crap saga filled few years will then have well and truly ended in a feel good story that.......... truth be told, is what the club needs !

SO, yes bring him back.
welcome him back
have faith that he will want to go out on a better note
have faith in the coach
annnnnnd
if the team gets a bit further into september.....
even betterrrrrrrrr

It would be a desperate signing by a desperate club. Much like Parra signing Hayne.
It sounds ok to the fans but our jobs arnt on the line. My opinion of Cleary would just about evaporate if he made such a nervous move halfway through a season.

Liddle is still a ways off, McIlwrick and Godinet are hardly even up to reserve grade. Farah is the best hooker playing reserve grade by some stretch and is still better than many starting nines in the NRL. Taylor isn't here anymore. I don't think Farah can make things worse and it'll be a great momentum in Tigers history to see him and Benji retire together if that does happen. It's a yes from me.

the nit pickers can nit pick, once we start winning more (which is a certainty) they will forget. Mbye, Farrah and …? who will be number 3

What…we'll win due to Farah? We couldn't do that for a decade with him at his peak.

Exactly right , people quote we only made the semis 3 times in 10 under Sheens , well we only made the semis 3/13 with Robbie

Certainly no Messiah that's for sure

Plus you bring both Marshall and Farah back together at your own risk , they still wield a lot of power

I think that balance of power has been tipped to IC. Marshall and Farah will be at the mercy of IC who is no Tim SHeens, Mick Potter or Jason Taylor. Some people just need to let go of the past.

I think its different to Hayne.

Im not expecting RF to change us and provide the Xfactor that we are lacking.

RF apart for the brief JT season was the stalwart of the Tigers. A leader on and off the field.

THE CAVEAT is ….

Very little $$$ and for the remainder of the season only as we need to continue to invest in the future crop of players

Why? We have no 80 min dummy half options. Farah is available and happens to be quality, why not try and make the most of this year and nab him to make a push for the semis?

How many games for the Tiger's was Robbie stuck on 248 ? And he has a contract to be a club ambassador or some sort for next year so why not we will make the 8 with him

I don't see Benji playing for us again this season, other than maybe a 1 match farewell at the end if we're out of the finals hunt. We have no need for him. Liddle is only a few weeks away too.

Do Benji and Robbie really want to end their careers playing for the magpies at Pratten Park?

Also we've lost 2 centres this season and not replaced them at all and have no depth in the backs. We need at least a promising young centre/wing in our top 30.

Pascoe has said we're only adding 2 new players in June and we don't need 4 hookers on our books! We need to release one or two, or offload other players.

Thank you for your wisdom bobo.
Regress: the action of returning to a former or less developed state….......and that is what WT would be doing.

I agree that both Farah & Marshall yield little power these days compared to their heydays particularly given that neither is guaranteed a contract beyond this year . Whilst I never entertained the idea of Farah returning to the Tigers I also never thought Benji would either and whilst we can debate his on field performances this year for the Tigers no-one can criticise what he has done for the Tigers off the field so maybe Farah will also be a model team player (who knows until it happens, if it does at all). I think Farah would want to go out on the right note this time around!!

If he cost us 400k it would be money well spent. Considering he has half his Souths pay im sure it would be +- 100k

If we got him he'd be on 100k max, Souths have already paid him 3/4 of his salary for the year.

It would be hard to disagree with the fact that Robbie deserved better when we offloaded him….

I don’t think he’ll automatically get us into the 8 but having a proper professional 9 will help our chances a lot

Let Liddle be mentored by him and let him play reserve grade for the remainder of the year and get his confidence up and throughout the preseason get his size up and unleash him in 2019

1\. Mbye
6\. Reynolds
7\. Brooks
9\. Farah

Looks a lot better than

1\. Tui
6\. Marshall
7\. Brooks
9\. Godinet

If we can get it done I’ll applaud them.... hoping we can get him in before our Leichhardt game against titans and give him and mbye a real welcoming

I voted no but I'm warming to the idea now,
from a purely fixing our no9 problem perspective I'd take any established experienced hooker right now.

- I like the fact that he's got unfinished business here and in the NRL in general, I like how he's handled not getting a gig at Souths.
- I love the drama and interest it will create around the club because I feel that early season energy has well and truly worn off and we could use a boost right now and Mbye and Farah could provide that change up.
The club definitely needs something we've hit a flat spot.

I don't like the fact that him coming back will get a lot of peoples noses out of joint in regards to Cleary.
If it's a failure it could hurt Clearys reputation with the fans who couldn't wait to see the back of Farah when he went.

I'd love to be on the hill at Leichhardt the day he runs out in Tigers colours again if it happens.
