I guess we got to back Ivan’s judgement here. Personally it’s a big no from me due to the sustain he treated the club with and dragged us through the mud. Got two coaches sacked and was central to the boys club and the cultural malaise. But that said, people make mistakes and the club was by no means faultless and was being run by muppets. Benji is now a different person albeit prone to the same tendencies (overplaying his hand/all or nothing/easy option/low percentage). I expect much the same from Robbie.

…...and that's a big part of the problem.

Most of the media around this seems to have been generated by the legend asking WT for a return.
So how then did the media get a hold of it?
Did Ivan get a private call and immediately say to himself; "Yippee, my problems have been solved" and then ring all the media outlets with the story? Or did it happen another way?
Seems to me like a great way to put the Coach and WT management under pressure. Deja vu. No such thing as a free lunch.

Can't wait for his horrible grubbers on the 5th.
We are past this guy surely. Nobody else in the NRL? Unbelievable.

He had perfect grubbers of the fifth beautifully angled and sat up like mushrooms after a few days good rain.

Where we sit at the moment on the table it makes sense to sign him for the remainder of the season. Liddle is our future but should bide his time in reserves and build up some strength in the meantime.
I joked about this earlier in the year, never thought it may come to fruition. It can’t do any harm I believe.

i have absolute and complete faith in Ivan Cleary.

some of you sooks laughed..moaned groaned and hurled massive abuse at me several years ago when i said "ivan cleary is the man / coach this club needs - and he is coming"

i doubt for 1 second Ivan would entertain the thought of Farah coming back if he thought it would be a negative.

At the same time, i would imagine Farah being told "tick to the script or see ya latersssss"

Thats how Ivan operates. Always has.

game on

Why does Robbie or even Benji deserve a "proper" finish

What about Brett Hodgson , Gareth Ellis , Chris Heighnington , Beau Ryan , Anthony Laffranchi or ,Bryce Gibbs

What makes Robbie or Benji for that matter so special ??

What makes them special is that they gave us our greatest success, they stuck with the club when they were getting big offers from other clubs and they are undisputedly the two most iconic players in the clubs history.

That’s what makes them special.

The same blokes who turned the ball over in good field position in 2011 semi v the Warriors , is that the two you speak

The one bloke who paraded himself the night after a loss in an Auckland Blues jersey

The other who claimed he saw Brooks and Moses negotiating with other clubs

The one who claimed we had treated players badly and it was the clubs fault a player committed suicide

The one whose player manager had all these secrets he planned on releasing …...

Iconic that's just ironic or maybe moronic

By the way Prince got the Clive Churchill medal that night , Benny Galea was a bee's wee wee from getting it and Hodgo and Laffranchi were our next best

Benji was good as was Farah , but didn't win it off their own back

Benji did his level best to blow it with a stupid flick pass that wasn't a high percentage play and fans should give Pattycakes more raps for taking the most unexpected pass

If your talking heart and soul players , lets talk about Liam Fulton ,Brett Hodgson ,Heighington , Keefy didn't see them b**** and moan when things didn't go exactly as they wanted or do everything in their powers to bring the club down

So basically you want players who are passionate about the club and want success for the club….so long as they arent actually proactive about it.

You sound less like a concerned fan and more like someone who didn’t get an autograph with them.

That take on Marshall’s flick pass may very well be the saltiest most bitter and asinine opinion on a rugby league moment in history.

Yep - lost the plot over this one Happy

Well i have changed my opinion on Robbie coming back several times, Will leave it to Ivan & what ever he decides will do me. One other thing, will Souths release him? i think not.

Just read an article that said souths favour another ISP player Billy Brittian as the back up half for cook, And that it would be more of a surprise to see Farah remain at redfern than come back across the Anzac bridge.
Take it for what it is though…....a journo's saturday blog.

The only thing that is spot on in any of that is his intense hate for Farah, and to a degree Benji as well.
It may not even happen, and if it does there a people in a better position to make that call than disgruntled fans with axes to bare.

I would love to see Robbie back at West Tigers …. Spine of .... Mbye, Brooks, Reynolds and Farah .... with Gamble on the bench should see us into the 8\. I think we also need a right edge forward ... Garner might be the man

Thats a better balanced spine. Lets hope

Agree with Garner also, time for a promotion.

Short memories,Potter can not coach the team can make the 8 then the DUMMY SPITTER decided to trash the season …Happy !some have very short memories, this was the second coach the TURD had booted a very humble man and had the team performing. It will be a sad day when this grub puts a Tigers jersey on again .

The bottom line is, our D/H work this year has been terrible and a ageing Farah is way better than what we have. Now I don't give a stuff what has happened in the past, to me its all about winning enough games to make the eight and Farah gives us more chance of that happening.

Its a win win if it happens Farah gets a chance to get a mile stone and a proper send off and we get a D/H

Farah is one player that polarizes fans.

My first thoughts are no as both parties have moved on and the culture has changed under IC.

Then I thought to myself we are still half way through the season a chance to make the semi finals which has not been the case for a while plus successful clubs can attract quality players.

I think the ball is in WT and IC court so Farah would have to play by the rules if he comes back plus he has the opportunity to win back fans like myself who appreciates Farah for his efforts over the years but he left a sour taste in my mouth how he divided the club and tarnished his legacy.

With Liddle struggling to play 80 mins as hooker and Taylor, Reynolds, Pita and Killa not up to the tasks I want WT to sign an established hooker before 30 June so it gives us every chance to play semi finals plus match it with the top teams.

Given we now have a quality full back joining us for the next match I now are very comfortable accepting Farah back but only for the balance of 2018 then he retires or plays Super League overseas.

At least with Farah we have a quality hooker who can play 80 mins, he bleeds WT and due to his limited minutes at Souths his body should be in good shape.

A spine of Mybe, Gamble (whilst Marshall is sidelined and on the provision he plays well against the Raiders), Brooks and Farah is an upgrade on any spine we have fielded this year.

Reynolds to play utility role off the bench. I love Reynolds energy and he can play a number of positions with limited quality minutes.

We do not have to carry a hooker on the bench which in my opinion is a complete waste of a bench spot.

My bench would be Reynolds, Twal, Eisenhuth and Aloiai.

MCK, Sue and Grant in the wings if and when injuries occur.

In conclusion I would now bring Farah back before 30 June 2018 for the remainder of the year only, that he never is rewarded with the captaincy and he plays his role which IC believes is best for the team or he plays in ISP.

WT management please make is happen. Also plus give Luke Garner a NRL contract and IC maybe give him a couple of games and hopefully he is our Marsters/Huth of 2018.

Nice guy Potter but being a nice guy doesn't mean you are a good NRL coach. Neither Potter or Tayler have NRL roles which is strongly suggestive of what the other clubs think of their NRL coaching skills.
