They could have shot this down straight away given their stance in the past?

Like there was last time he was here. He doesn't take too kindly to that.

The difference is he comes back knowing it will happen. The JT thing was a powerplay between two stubborn personalities. Robbie's smart enough to know Ivan won't partake in that sort of conflict. IF is is to happen, it will be a far more humble Robbie that arrives - he holds no power in the negotiation.
@ said:One of the biggest issues many on this subject need to understand is you support your team first an players come very secondary as do the coaches
Not vice versa Yes you can support both and you should back whoever the coach picks
But when your love of a player exceeds your love of the club , something's not right
And the same goes for your hatred of a player (as a player ) when it exceeds your support for the club then it is an issue
@ said:Brooks has commented on this in a positive way…looks like its a moral
@ said:What people on this forum need to really understand is that we are all s*** talkers (myself included) and sure we all have a right to an opinion. But in reality, remember, none of us have contributed to this club anything comparable to what RF and any player/coach has and we all form opinions on innuendo, be it a positive or a negative opinion.
As far as I’m concerned I trust in Ivan Cleary based on what I see (the way he speaks) and I suggest we all respect and trust his decision.
It doesn’t matter if you are a 50 year lifetime supporter or a new supporter nor does it matter if you are a lifetime member or band wagon jumper we are all equal in our opinions which means NOTHING.
The doomsdayers will change their view if there is success and optimistic will change their view if there is failure….....but it all still means NOTHING

Let's give this LEGEND a proper farewall.
I gave him a proper farewell last time he left while burning bridges, accusing the club of welfare deficiencies that directly led to the suicide of a young player and using his media contacts to drag the club and anyone that did not buy into his agenda through the mud.
I can’t repeat that farewell here due to the offensive language rules, needless to say I never want to see him wearing the jersey again.
Him as a mentor is like cyanide as an after dinner tipple.
Yeah then putting up Akouala as an example of driving a player toward suicide and how poor the Clubs approach to welfare was even though they ranked highly after the Mosese tragedy seems forgotten…
Anyhow A month ago was told it would never happen guess times change ..on the field you could never question Farah's commitment ...

That was disgraceful and he should be ashamed of himself for that…the fact he didnt distance himself from his agent showed he endorsed it
