I'd back Talau up against Staggs. He won't be on 950k per year and he will make a better fist of reading the sttack and tackling.

Guys who are still bagging Lawrence...did you watch the game last week? Roberts and Walker didn't have a way around him. He tackled everything that came his way. As a stop-gap solution until a better centre is available, he's not bad.

That and the fact that souths across the board are a very average team this season. I hate to say it, but I get the feeling we're sliding backwards. I really hope I'm wrong, but I can see us getting destroyed this week. As terrible as the broncos have been, I think they have a lot of improvement in them.

I think Madge may have suffered some form of breakdown looking at that side.

Packer named to start with only one prop on the bench. Suggest that means that McIntyre will have to play big minutes with Huth being part of the prop rotation.

Between McQueen, Garner, McIntyre and Packer I hope the backs are ready to rip in and make a lot of the dirty metres.

Where do we go from here? Madge has basically dropped almost every player in the squad, if we don't produce the results does that suggest we need to go on another massive rebuild, or do we need to start looking at coaching options?

Bah they ran plenty of traffic both sides, just one side was strong.

Lawrence did miss one shot on Latrell but he slowed him enough for the others to cover, which isn't that uncommon w Latrell.

Battle of the walking frames. Honestly, if Lawrence is the best back up centre we have then we are in big trouble. The guy has no lateral movement and no speed what so ever.

I was going to say Brooks should still be on the bench. Give him a run at hooker. Nothing to lose. He could be a revalation. Sadly, if he plays, he probably comes on in the halves and Walters goes to hooker.

The nugget has all the attributes of a top shelf 9 plus the added bonus of a decent all round kicking game(which is one thing Harry doesn't have albeit the rest of his game is pretty darn good)...

whats the point of dropping Brooks to the bench he's hardly an impact player, he'd be even more of a deer in the headlights.
