Lawrence is smart defender and great at disrupting halves, if he does end up starting he will be there to put pressure on Williams. There was a game two years ago against the Storm in NZ, where Lawrence did a real number on Brodie Croft and was a big factor in winning us that game after starting as big underdogs.

No real issues with the other changes, although Harry Grant will be very busy without a break, hopefully with a bigger pack/bench this week he won't be called on to make as many tackles.

Lawrence is a huge surprise to me but you've made a great point about him pressuring halves, no-one else in the squad does that.

Kick pressure as well, which was non-existent against Titans.

When Brian Kelly caught that short kick-off, and had both arms above his shoulders, Joey should have broken about 5 ribs like in the old times.

Wests Tigers Coach Michael Maguire has made a number of changes for his side’s Round 5 clash against the Canberra Raiders at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Saturday night.

After a last-start defeat to the Gold Coast Titans in Round 4, Wests Tigers will field a new-look halves combination in Round 5 with Josh Reynolds returning to the side at five-eighth alongside halfback Luke Brooks.

Tommy Talau and Russell Packer will both play their first games of the year, while Zane Musgrove also returns to the starting side with Thomas Mikaele shifting back to the bench.

Michael Chee Kam joins the side for his first game since Round 2 while veteran forward Chris Lawrence moves in to the run-on side in place of Luke Garner.

Benji Marshall, Billy Walters, Corey Thompson join Luke Garner as reserves in the 21-man squad, which will be reduced to 19 players at 7:35pm, Friday.

Final team lists will be confirmed one hour prior to kickoff (6:35pm, Saturday).

21 Corey Thompson - Speculation where when what team, your performance against Newcastle warrants being dropped, AD still shaky.

In reality i can't see us beating the raiders but stranger things have happened this last round, at least players know Madge is not afraid to made significant changes to the team when we play like we should win instead of playing to win.
Madge gets a tick for being bold.
Based upon this i can't see that Eisenhuth, Jennings, McQueen, Taylor being offered contracts to stay in 2021.

@Mighty_Tigers forget the start of that sentence, as that was someone else's opinion. But I do agree that it's more tactical for helping our whole team with match fitness. Therefore, think that'd be the last train of thought for someone like Madge.
As one of the current coaches who played for Sheens....he seems more like the left field type though. And even if I'm wrong he's certainly giving things a bit of a shake up.

There is more punch to the team, however, I would have kept a spot in the 17 for Ollie Clark. If you watch the time he was on the field, I don't think the Titans put on many points at all. He was nearly spewing when he came off the field, so there is no doubting his commitment to the team.

benji was on 360 today and didn’t have a crack at Madge at all. Was very appreciative of his honesty and wanrpted to get back in the team.
