Woah careful with those crazy suggestions in here magic. Reynolds tries hard and requires continual encouragement in here. Credit where its due.
I just cant understand why the Coach of this team isn't tempted to play Walters at 5/8 or put him on the bench....maybe he knows something more than we do...
I like Walters and he seems to have a go everytime he goes out there,,,but Im not the coach...JR must be doing what Madge needs him to do,maybe that's why he is selected to play 5/8...
I agree with you TT. For mine Walters matches Reynolds in his only asset which is effort and energy. IMO there is nothing else in JR's game that Walters couldnt match, plus much more upside. Maybe its an experience thing Madge sees but again in my IMO, Reynolds is not going to be calling plays so I dont see why that would be a factor.
We were both posting at the same time by the look of it ...I stated that Madge might be going with experience more than anything, particularly with some of our quality players out...
Experience plays a part sure, but I think Madge has made it pretty clear that he's looking for defence. While JRey misses his fair share of tackles, he is typically a relatively good defender for a half, brings plenty of aggression and energy. Plus he should have some added incentive this week.
I dont disagree with any of this, but my memory of Walters early in the year is his defence was pretty robust. In Madge we trust I guess.
