Gee, Marshall must be well and truly on the outer with Maguire. I really expected him to be picked, with Reynolds coming off the bench to replace Harry Grant (he's a star in the making but 60 min at this stage will have bigger impact that 80 min, IMO).

I have been a fan of Benji since he first played in the 7s but he has never learned how to apply himself in defence,unfortunately he cant even get into position to even miss a tackle much of the time.Madge likes defence and as much as Benji has been a legend of the game and our club i dont see him getting much game time from here

I agree with you TT. For mine Walters matches Reynolds in his only asset which is effort and energy. IMO there is nothing else in JR's game that Walters couldnt match, plus much more upside. Maybe its an experience thing Madge sees but again in my IMO, Reynolds is not going to be calling plays so I dont see why that would be a factor.

So, Brooks with around 150 games to his credit needs hand holding for experience. Surely the writing has to hazily appearing on the wall for Brooks. Can't WT at least start to look at other options?

I agree with you but if we get pumped on Sunday, I’d expect things to change very rapidly knowing Madge.

The most wests tigers supporter thing ever - thinking a 26yr old with 4 nrl games as a bench hooker shoukd replace an ex Origin winner with 150 plus nrl games coming off a match where we convincingly beat the opposition and he set up multiple tries.

Gotta love this kind of statement where someone talks about previous selections as if they are 100% relevant to the current situation. His team won so he must be going great. He was previously selected in Soo do he must be amazing right now.

Club pays big bucks ..Reynolds is contracted ... Reynolds is fit and injury free ... Reynolds has played state of origin .
Benji is retiring ... Benji is playing where he has played for the last 2 clubs he has been with a substitute ! this is where he is at this stage ... Reynolds goes down , Benji back to 5/8 . This is what’s going on ..

Apologies, been up over 24 hours and very tired and misread post. All I meant was its time WT started to rely on Brooks to be the experienced one and we can take a greater chance on the lesser experienced 5/8 (Walters over Reynolds). I fear Reynolds will try to do too much against the Dogs, overplay hand and give them too much opportunity. Yes Reynolds brings energy but it can too often be misdirected.

Forward depth is an issue. We’ve got guys but they aren’t great. Should be better next Year with Blore, Stefano and hopefully some more new signings
