Taylor, Clark, Lawrence, Eisenhuth, Seyfarth and now McIntyre all been given a run. All guys in the final year of their contract I believe, Madge is definitely giving them a chance to earn a contract extension.

Didn't Madge also mention in the second pre-season that he was considering giving more of the extended squad a run, because there was no reserve grade? He really does appear to be rotating forwards week in/out.

I’m not sure but it’s a good idea. Keeps everyone hungry too

Wests Tigers Coach Michael Maguire has named his 21-man squad for Saturday’s clash against the North Queensland Cowboys with several new faces included in the team.

After not featuring in Round 5, Luke Garner and Robert Jennings both return to the starting side for Round 6 — Garner called in to the team in place of Chris Lawrence while Jennings returns for Tommy Talau, who picked up a minor hamstring injury last week.

In a boost for the side, Samoan international Luciano Leilua has been named despite being forced off last week with an ankle injury, while Matt Eisenhuth joins the bench in place of Russell Packer, who is suspended until Round 8.

Rookie forward Sam McIntyre has been included on the bench in jersey 16, while fellow rookie Reece Hoffman is also included in the squad in jersey 21. Hoffman joins Lawrence, Benji Marshall and Billy Walters as reserves named as part of the extended 21-man squad, which will be reduced to 19 players at 5:30pm, Friday.

Wests Tigers have won five of their past six games against the North Queensland Cowboys with Saturday’s fixture the only game between the two sides in 2020.

1 Adam Doueihi
2 David Nofoaluma
3 BJ Leilua
4 Moses Mbye
5 Robert Jennings

6 Josh Reynolds
7 Luke Brooks

8 Josh Aloiai
9 Harry Grant
10 Zane Musgrove
11 Luciano Leilua
12 Luke Garner
13 Alex Twal

14 Matt Eisenhuth
15 Thomas Mikaele
16 Sam McIntyre
17 Micheal Chee-Kam

18 Benji Marshall
19 Billy Walters
20 Chris Lawrence
21 Reece Hoffman

I am wondering where our points will come from?

Jennings well cost us 1 game this season and a bit of a kick in the guts to Benji bringing him back, actually disappointing with his selection shows what little options we do have in the backs.
All i am going to say now is that is a former Souths player....

Do understand TT injury but that was kept well hidden?
Glad the cowboys are missing a few players, i think the selection policy is to give all players a chance to earn a new contract for 2021.
Non performing players however like Brooks, Mybe, BJ with longer term contracts seem to be getting a game each week??? (Non performing selections)
starting to see our issues now are in the backs, forwards perform adequate and try and match most packs.
If we lose with Jennings in the side again i am going to start bagging the coach and lose all interest this season.

It really does show us that our depth is non existant

The team has plenty of points in them, they’ve scored 20+ every game except 1 so that’s not the issue, it’s defence that has lost us games. Plenty of guys in the team know how to score a try.

Ahh the Brooks defense. HeS NoT As BaD aS ThE rEST, PuT hIm In A gOOD tEAM And HE woULD kILL IT

Benji should be starting and Brooke should be on the bench ..

No Joke, I was hoping we would see that. Everyone is is on notice it seems but Brooks can dish out anything and get selected Automatically. He needs to fight for his position. Have his off the bench and use Benji as hooker when Grant gasses out. Dont really care, just want Brooks to do something.

Brooke is a Koala ?
7 years .....

Let's hope McIntyre is not a plodder like the rest of the above names.

McIntyre is most definitely not a centre, we only chucked him there in CC on an emergency basis. Like a slightly bigger Lovett. More of a prop than wide player though he does have some skills he occasionally brings out. Been very inconsistent in CC though. Did look quite sharp in round one v the drag queens.
Can't really be worse than lawrence and will provide more impact than Seyfarth can currently.

I reckon it's 50/50 for Hoffman to start on the wing.

What’s Sam Mclntyre like ?

Is he a plodder ?

Jennings....Jesus Christ ...shoot me now !

Benji must be peed off !

Extreme plodder.

Cessnock level player.

Worse than Seyfarth?

I do not want to knock him, hope he kills it.

But, yes. Newcastle local comp in his future...

Hey Russell
Madge and jennings say Hello 🙂

That is not funny in the slightest.

I'm sure Jennings has photos of Mage, Must have.

There is no way he deserves to be picked. It is an absolute joke.

Unfortunately the Joke is on us.

I will be up all night reading the comments here.

Not really TB

Just assume every WT's supporter thinks Jennings is one of the worst wingers in WT's and type that you'll safe some time and wasted energy

Why think he is bad when you can have nightmares about how bad he is

Jennings is back baby
Woo Hoo can't Wait

Sorry boys
I thought he needed some encouragement because he ain't getting it from anyone else on here

Well past his time to put in or ship out

Eiso is a huge upgrade on Seyfarth - happy with that. Interested to see how McIntyre goes.

Obviously Jennings back is a disaster. Almost feel like Madge will actually throw Hoffman in there, coming up against another debutant.

Hopefully he’s considering it. More of a centre than a winger but he should do fine there, very young and inexperienced to throw into first grade though he’s not even played reserve grade I believe

No he’s not a centre but he used to play there. Don’t think he played much prop more second row and lock.

I’m confident we can win this weekend actually. We normally do well against cowboys and hopefully they boys can play with the same energy as last week minus a few of the silly errors

So happy to see Luciano is fit to play and that Garner is back and Lawrence is out.

It's not Saturday 5:30pm yet...

Yeah because 7.20 pm will be so much better

Hopefully Jennings gets sent off in the first minute then we’re in with a chance

As log as he takes Feldt with him

Tell Jennings to start a punch up so they both get sent off then we’ll have a much better chance of winning
