Wests Tigers team v Gold Coast Titans

will be interesting to see who actually runs out on friday!

d'oh!
Thats what happens when you're talking to one person about one thing & typing about another.
Doing 2 things at once is a bit beyond me!

If Gibbs &/ or Galloway are out & Halatau gets a run in front of Laurie then it will really show how little Sheens thinks of Laurie. Who knows who is actually going to run out though.
This is exactly the sort of situation sheens loves. He can tell absolute fibs to the media all week about who is & isn;t up to playing!

the way I look at it, is, that wests-tigers having nothing to lose in this game.
I know it may sound silly, as still vying for a top 8 spot 😛ray:
odds are against them, I bet amongst the critics, that nobody expects them to beat the titans.
the team could do that, if they dig in and play for each other anything is possible.
**i hope that the titans think they will only have to kick off to win**.

I heard Hoss cartwright the other night, they are assured of a top 4 spot, so now their goal is minor premiership….coaches way of keeping them keen/hungry....good move from him - good coach
They could easily relax and start think semis two weeks before they arrive, not a good prep....aiming for MP will keep them doing what they have to

I dont understand why he just doesnt keep young Ayshford at centre and move Lawrence to the wing where he has had some success.

Has Ayshford played on the wing before?

:brick: Cause Lawrence is the best centre in the club by a country mile….We are already in all sorts injury wise why stuff with the one positive we got...Lawrence at 95%

:brick: Lawrence is also our best winger that is available to play and we have plenty of people that can play centre .eg. Pritchard, Davis, Akeripa, Ayshford, Collis. Lawrence is a good centre but he was way more devastating on the wing. He should never have been moved from wing.

JUST LIKE TIM MOLTZEN SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN MOVED FROM HALFBACK!!! :imp:

we will need a miracle on the goldcoast…

It's not fantasy League mate  ….Lawrence centre>>>>>>>>>>Lawrence wing....just my opinion though

ayshford and moltzen. if moltzen drops hanbury obviously to go back to fullback and pritchard in wing / centre i assume (even tho i havnt seen him play!)

Centre is a far more important position to any club. The play of Lawrence is a large part of Tuiaki's dominance this season.

None of the players you mentioned are in the same league as Lawrence as a First Grade centre.

Anyone who thinks a winger is a more important than a centre in terms of positional quality has either a) never played the game b) Is an utter retard who has no idea about the mechanics of the game of rugby league or c) Both

My source, Al Delvecchio rang me on the phone today wanting my Spag Bol recipe. I got talking to him and he said that the team they are going to post is the absolute hopeful team, which is what always happens if they cant settle on a team by mid-afternoon when the media deadline for posting a team is announced.

This is a team they hope will run on. Al tells me he doubts the side will look much like this. Al said the spirits of all the guys are very high and they are pump.

Thank Al for us!

I think this team is another smokey from sheens, just like last week Skando on the footy show says he's out for sure friday night Laurie was out on the field warming up with the team so we thought Laurie was in then they announced the run onside and Skando's playing and no Laurie..

If we lose Moltzen or Ayshford I expect Halatau to come into the centres; No Gibbs, Heighno, KG = Laurie, Shirnack, Dwyer

IMO the makeup of the team at this stage of the season won't have as much bearing on the outcome of this game as will their ability to get themselves back up after such an intense game last week. I hope that wasn't their grand final. Of course the players do need to gel and combine well but I feel their biggest hurdle will be a mental one.

It doesn't matter if you think centre is a more important position or not. Wing is a pretty important position these days anyway. Lawrence has worked well with Tuiaki but Tuiaki isn't there anymore more. Lawrence was scoring more tries and making more brakes when he was on the wing where he had a bit more room and he was fast enough to run on the outside of the opposing winger without being pushed out. Also he is bigger now which will also make it even harder for the opposing winger to push him out. He still has his pace as we all saw when Slater couldn't catch him at Leichhardt. Also, he is good at returning the ball form kicks. He can help the fullback out. Don't get me wrong, Lawrence is a good centre too. He could play a few positions well because he is a natural talent. I agree his defence in the centres is really good now. With Tuiaki out and considering the players available to play this week I think our team would be stronger in attack if he was on the wing. If you don't agree then that's ok with me.
