WESTS Tigers Team V Gold Coast..

As long as Lovett gets punted for Twal and Eisenhuth comes into the starting 13 then that's probably our full strength side for what we have.

Agree. Already after 1 FG game Eisenhuth is miles better than Lovett. He needs to start

glad some of u people agree with me about lovett . why not play mcilwrick in the back row instead hes bigger than lovett and twice the player and he can still cover for liddle if necessary .Watch liddle go now he can start behind a fress pack

I agree Lovett needs to go, but not MM in the backrow, Eusenhuth to backrow and Twal to bench

Agree 100%. I just don't get why coaches pick that poor excuse of a footballer Lovett each week. Would have to be the worst player in the NRL.

Bench is light - would rather another prop in place of MCK. If Twal is the best option then so be it.
Lovett and Sue in the back row is awful, but I guess there's not much else in the cupboard with Lawrence and Aloiai still out.

Anyone have any idea when Lawrence and Aloiai will be back?
As usual the WestsTigers NRL site is a month out of date with injury news.
Seriously, how hard is it to update a website?

I would have liked to see MWZ retain a starting spot, throw him in the centres and move Marsters to backrow in place of Lovett. It will be interesting to see if Twal makes his debut.

Lovett , Sue and MCK very lucky to be in first grade.Very weak 2nd row.

If it looks like a disaster, walks and talks like a disaster, plays like a disaster, it's probably going to be a disaster. Sue is a bench front rower, Lovett is a park footballer…..please some late changes.

Why does Cleary not see these obvious changes ..is he that stupid..?

I disagree with moving Marsters. I think Suli and Marsters are the best centre options.

Naaa…I see Marsters being a backrower...so why not have him there now......MWZ had a good game last week and should've been retained...Lovett should not be near the NRL side again given we have better 2nd row options now.

The only thing I can think of is that somehow Lovett is a favourite of one of our sponsors and/or board members and Cleary is being told to select him in the team. I mean, blind Freddie can see Lovett is not FG standard. The fact that he wasn't sacked or sent to ISP for a considerable amount of time following his drug offences further reinforces this theory.

Wow..so a Coach who bows down to outside influences when selecting HIS side…very interesting...

Just speculating mate. I hope I'm wrong.

I cannot believe Lovett & Chee-Kam still get starts. Two weeks ago the commitment from CK was nil. We'd be better off taking the field two short. If we ever get all 17 playing their hearts out for 80 minutes we'd win a few games . It must be so demoralising for the likes of ET who gives all he has week in & out.

Let’s go for facts rather than speculation, any player outside your top 25 bites into the second tier cap, at least 5 of the current top 25 are unavailable through injury, leaving at most 20 of the top 25 players left available for selection and then they need to name a 21 man squad, its anyone’s guess which of the fringe players are top 25 but Lovett certainly is and Chee-Kam is also likely so they will continue to get picked most weeks in the foreseeable future.

It’s a simple fact of NRL life that the coach and club have to be prudent when using players outside the top 25, live with it.

I like your avatar. Subtle.

That is the kind of subtlety that I like as well. It's almost hard to figure out what it means.

Sensible

Doesn't matter who you play in the centres, the only time our backs see the ball is hit ups from inside our 20 or when Tedesco runs across field in front of them.
People wonder why we can't score points this year. We play boring football with no direction. Hopefully Sandercock is shown the door at the end of the season

Yes, it is definitely sensible, trouble is every month or so a forumer has to write something similar to spell it out and it still doesn't get through to some, even though it has been the same way for years.
