Well done Madge I think this is the best team going forward maybe with Blore to come in.

Yes, we now have the luxury of some good depth in the team, just another back or 2 to go imo.

One world class back and one edge back rower who makes all his tackles and scares thebeguzus out of people.

Yeah, hoping Blore becomes that forward? Otherwise I think we are strong at the moment in forward stocks.

Though, we can always use better players.

Tino is a big in for them.

After last week, the Titans will turn up for sure.

My worry is that even with a huge amount of possession, we only managed 3 tries against Saints. Titans leak more points, but if they get the momentum, Fifita will have a field day.

We have a chance to set our season up. We play Titans, Knights, Warriors and Saints again in the next 4 rounds. We need to make these games count.

Gold Coast will target the weak link known as Mbye.

Game over before it starts.

Mbye is a good defender mate . If anything we just got better defensively , and sacrifice our attack. Put him next to Cini , and AD , and that’s a stronger defensive structure there .

Brooks covering for Joey with Garner on the inside , and Luci next to AD , Mbye covering for Cini.
I actually like it .
If it works , it might be hard for Roberts and and TalU to get a run in a few weeks

Unfortunately for the team it isn't true.

He was consistently one of the worst defenders all last year. Statistically he was a horror show. His "good defence" is a forum myth.

Gold Coast will run around him, through him and over him.

Mbye was one of our best backline defenders last year.

Sorry, but saying that doesn't make it true.
If only it did for the team's sake.
They'll need a traffic cop to control the flow of players exploiting his weaknesses.

I can only pray that it's a clever ruse by Madge to mess with their heads before he's benched when the final team is named.

Defensively he’s far better than Talau, Leilua and Nofo.

Mbye goes alright .. Nofo is the worst of that list .

Nofo is one of the worst defenders I’ve ever seen.

Very silly defensive reads.I would of loved to of been behind the goal posts after that try to hear his excuse.

We only won 7 games last year, 5 of those (Rds 3, 6, 7, 10, 14) Mbye was in the centres, he scored tries in three of those five.........but otherwise a pretty convincing point of view.

Some people unfortunately abuse certain features on the forum, and the moderators will ensure that doesn't continue to occur. Hardening up has nothing to do with it.

It is great to have Liddle on the bench and with everyone going on about mybe and his defence did you actually watch some of the tackles he made against the dragons where he forced errors...
Liddle made 31 tackles in KOE cup and still missed 7. That is a defensive liability and he was playing KOE cup.
Simpkin starting with Liddle off the bench should work but Liddle needs to up his defensive game. On NRL stats he is still up there with a high missed tackles and has not played for 2 weeks
