The club had ASU listed as 185cm and 89kgs. That’s 2cm shorter and 4kgs lighter then Reece Hoffman, who looked small in his debut

He looks a lot taller and heavier then that in the nsw cup highlights we’ve seen

Pics can be deceiving but those numbers don't pass the eye test

He looks a big guy. Bigger than Hoffman for sure

How do you solve an expensive problem like Mbye??

Nice bloke it seams and a Solid first grader without a real role. Add insult to injury that he is the current captain.

Make him the Captain of your footy side...Oh..

All wests tigers supporters enjoy a success story- but moses mybe hasn't been.sometimes during a game I have to check at to whether moses is on the field.
we can only hope that he becomes more involved at hooker this weekend.

So Knights send in Green at 5/8 and Mann into Hooker...this will be a distraction for them, at least with limited time to gel. They'll be indecisive in attack, will bumble n fumble their way through some sets, The Pong will be put off and make errors. Then they'll just rely on their piggies to roll up the middle in an unimaginative way, only to end the set in poor field position bombing away at our newbies who will hold their own. Meanwhile our superior line-speed and defensive hunger and desperation will compound all their woes. Twals evil-grins from the stands, Packers maniacal Shrek-face on first-tackle hit-ups, Nof busting tackles like its going out of fashion. I cant help but feel the tickly fingers of anticipation. Yeah we've lost miserably at times this year, but I believe in what this club can achieve...we've come damn close against some quality sides, but for a small percentage of things to have just brought us undone in the end. I feel like we're close. Each week is another opportunity for the boys to get everything clicking at the right time and the tides of fortune to turn in our favour; the rub of the green; the bounce of the ball; the refs benefit of doubt.
If it doesn't pan out this week, I'll wait with anticipation 'til the next...and smile a Twal grin, coz theres always the Broncos getting humiliated...

I couldn't care less about the milestone celebrations. A win is all that matters.
This team shows Madge still willing to experiment with halves pairing.
Same with the 9 position when Grant not available.
Same with where Mbye, Brooks and Reynolds fit in the team.
I'd like to think this lineup can grind enough in defence to go close or even win.
But I'm bracing for the Knights to hand us another flogging like they did way back in round 2,

You are aware that Tigers this week have a new 5/8 that has never played there for us, as well as a new hooker that has had limited time in that position?

Can’t wait to see Joey Leilua back out there. Not only is he an attacking weapon but he does a lot of work out of our own end. Him doing those big runs takes some pressure off Nofa having to do them constantly so he can stay in position more doyen.

I think there are a lot of positives in teh side this week, almost like Madge is talking to us in the changes

He's obviously said to Walters and Garner, teh last few week's haven't been good enough, Garner in defence and Walters in attack

Everyone talks of Brooks as a potential running 6, we've got him until 2023 so let's see

He's saying he's not happy with Mbye by moving him to hooker, he could have just gone with Walters

We have our youngest backline in years with Douehi 22, Talau 20 & Kepaoa 20, and probably a lot quicker than it's been for a while

As dissappointing as he's been, he recognises we need packer for his leadership and his aggression, hopefully he can play a role in the run home

I like that Madge is trying lots of stuff not just rolling out the same

Fair call, but Mbop is at least familiar with his squad and all he has to do is listen to his halves' call for the play. As opposed to Green who is a half and used to running a side around, coming into a different dynamic. Heard him say it's Pearce's team, so if he's not play-making, his impact will be nullified, a passenger. If he does feel the urge to inject himself there's surely gonna be indecision as to when and how, with added pressure of making it count.
Brooks isn't a stranger to his team and he is a half. If the difference for him between playing 5/8 and h/b is to run first, then good, thats a strength of his, and hopefully he has support runners to back-up a potential off-load. Once he shows the defence he's willing to take the line on, they shd hold off him a bit, gifting him more time and space to sniff out further opportunities. Pretty sure he was league-leader in repeat sets with his in-goal grubbers not too long ago, hopefully he digs it out and he and Benji target the Knights' new backs combo.
I agree with all comments about that 1-out rubbish we fell in to last week, let's hope the boys learned their lesson. Cheers.

Agree. Hope they look to him early and often.

Joey Leilua originally played for Newcastle.

Hopefully Benji realises he can just give him early ball, he never did it earlier in the season. Tried to create everything himself instead of letting Joey run, once Reynolds started playing Joey Improved drastically

From the Newcastle game earlier in year
Joey L
Nofo
need very big games considering the defensive rubbish they dished out in round 2
fingers crossed

Played for the rooster before them and was a dragons junior I believe

Joey and Nofa looked like they only just met at the local RSL in that Newy game

Definitely a lot better since then, just hope Joey can continue where he left off (a part from the uncontrolled aggression), was really starting to hit his straps and getting better each week

Wests Tigers have confirmed Harry Grant needs minor surgery on knee. Will miss 3-4 weeks. Big blow to the Tigers and his Dally M hopes.
