According to Benji on NRL360, Harry could’ve pushed through injury and played this week but they decided to rest him.

A week to late you nuffies

His knee was fine until the warriors game though

Anyone got any inside info on Garner?

Is he carrying an injury?
Not happy?

Something is up because he's half the player he was

A few on here are happy that Garner got dropped, but he's be entitled to feel disappointed in my opinion.

Played 80 minutes. He made 46 tackles and missed 2. 10 hitups for 87 metres.

Luciano played 80 and made 9 hitups for 83 metres...33 tackles with 1 missed.

Don't understand Madge's issue with Garner.

If you don't understand - maybe you didn't watch the last few of his games.

It's not just stats that win you games or save you from being dropped.

OK coach...explain it to me then. Why is Garner more deserving of being dropped than say, Doueihi?

Madge was always Garner drop someone after last week's performance ??
Luciano scores tries and is more likely
I think Pierce will pepper our debutant and Talau which is a worry
I hope they are up to it in defence
I am also hoping our young guys unleash some magic
We need another Blore moment from our newest edition

You're one of the great rugby league minds...sorry I doubted you...wait...where's the explanation?

I’ll answer . Just because he didn’t miss the tackles doesn’t mean , he wasn’t involved in some horrendous defence.
He wasn’t hitting with his shoulder and putting his body in front . Prime example was that extremely soft try close to the try line . It was really evident when Blore and McIntyre came on . You could literally see what was supposed to happen .
Lawrence was jamming and making a lot of garners tackles . This lead to line breaks down the outside and inevitably a loss .
That’s what I saw . It was extremely bad early on when Clarke was next to him .

Garner is solid at best. I see him being a bit like Corey Thompson in the sense that he’s a type of player you’re going to have on the journey, not once you’re at the destination.

Garner is a modern day Fulton. Lacks the kgs to make it IMO. (Unless he beefs up like a Tariq Sims did a few years ago).

If Luke is still in our 17 in the years to come then the Tigers will still be 9th place specials

Fults was a much much better player then Garner is.

For one, Fulton really really could tackle.

i never thought id say this but i actually think twal needs to earn it over huth. Huth has been massive.

Totally agree. Twal prob a little better in defence but he stunts our attack with his lack of running impact whereas Huth has been getting over the adv line.

Can't believe you are writing that at this time, compared to Round 1 2020.

If I look objectively at the 17 it’s arguably the worst Tigers side I’ve ever seen.

Overdramatic. How's this one, Rd 19 2002, 46-14 loss to Broncos:

1. Daniel Fitzhenry
2. Hassan Saleh
3. Kevin McGuinness
14. Lincoln Withers
5. Makasini Richter

6. John Wilson
7. Ben Jeffries

8. Trent Runciman
9. Darren Senter (c)
10. John Skandalis
11. Anthony Laffranchi
12. Willie Manu
13. Ben Galea

15. Robert Mears
16. Steven Crouch
17. Mark O'Neill
18. Luke O'Donnell

@jirskyr
Maybe it was over dramatic but you had to go back 18 seasons to find that team list. 😏

I bet I could find another recent one without looking too hard. But 2002 was my first port of call.

That team actually has a lot of class in the backrow but it's more the backline I was looking for.

Yeah that one is no contest.
Almost insulting to Fulton actually.

Maybe we should hire Fulton for a couple of months to assist our team with tackling techniques. One of the club's best defenders and bled WT

Surprised about Garner, leading forward try scorer and hardly misses, strong front on defender, was best running off Brooks.

The move to the right hand side has hurt him, has not been having as much impact running the ball and isn’t built to do the tough stuff out of our own end. McIntyre has been killing it too
