WESTS Tigers Team V Parramatta

In short we don't have the ready cash to spend the full cap allocation.
We are well and truly under the cap for 2016, but we won't be able to find the cash to spend the full allocation - I had it explained to me 3 times before I understood.
Like all my info the source is first hand not second hand as my previous posts re Lawrence's move ( 2 weeks prior)etc to second row demonstrate. Lets just say I have training stats; weight; bmis' etc on all players at my fingertips.
By shedding all bar a handful of unsigned players yes we can probably afford to buy all 3, but I'm still not confident they will all come because of what 2 first graders ( NOT FARAH) have been saying about Taylor - here's a hint one very aggressive young buck keeps being sent back to NSW Cup and told not to offload - but Fletcher thinks its the best part of his game?!
I love this club too much to reveal much more but even with all the 'inside info' I too am beginning to despair for our future. 90% of the Board's energies are spent on trying to resolve the Balmain Leagues saga - it is not a lost cause yet but our on field performance shows we are just treading water with a potential tsunami about to hit in the form of thee wooden spoon. If Taylor would select out best available 17 week in week out I believe we could finish 9th - 10th.
You all deserve some hope so let me finish by saying anything less than top 8 next year and he's gone no iffs no buts / there will be a mid season review which could see a caretaker coach installed by round 14 - guess who??? Little man in the red and yellow car…...
The Board and the NRL see this year a transitional but 2016 the club must perform on and off the field.
I'm not that egotistical or arrogant to think I have the perfect solution but starting with a coach we need someone who after 15 years of alibis for failure will be simply prepared to tell it like it is and actually drop under performing players - we've never had it! Benching Benji WHO BY HIS OWN ADMISSION was fat, out of condition and in poor form simply doesn't cut the mustard. I mean dropping to reserves. I simply don't buy the excuse that we don't have the depth to drop players - how much worse could the replacements play. Look at Cleary who still drops players even when the club is ravaged by injury; Bennett; Bellamy; Robinson; Maguire; Hasler all have track records of dropping players even when their NSW Cup teams are being belted by teams like our NSW Cup team.

happy some clubs have 10 injuries and could name a stronger side.

Our depth is awful at the minute.

Seems like no light at the end of the tunnel/

Eddie I totally agree 1000%

But that's the best we have , as bad as that is

Keith Lulia is much better than Hoeter and Milone
Lamar is a better 2nd rower than Lovett…

Agree?

Lamar has been garbage according to many judges this season (I don't watch much NSW Cup )

Is Keith that much better , really

Interesting part there about the ball playing forward told not to pass considering it was just last week I was thinking to myself "didn't Santi have a good offload in him in the lower grades?"…..wonder if Santi is the guy your talking about and why the hell would you discourage second phase play

WOW… Thats BIG. That bloke in the car isnt really that popular on here.

Geo will put his hand up if required? He is good friends with Macca!

As much as the Spoon is a big reality this year , well so is Taupau last Season with us next year .
There is no way we will be able to compete with other Clubs to keep him from 2017 and Beyond.

WOW talk about scrapping the Barrel

The real issue is our best ( non junior) players will seek to join a club that is going to give them the best chance of playing finals footy… These guys strive to play finals footy and at the highest level (SOO)... The tigers have failed to consistently give their squad this experience over the last 10 years.. And the prospects don't look good... Why is Farah so desperate to play at the elite level.....he is deprived of this at the WT... Look at Bodene best decision he did was to leave.... Same with Blair.... Others will follow... Sad but true

agreed… was the best part of his game 18 months ago

Tiger Torch, your posts have answered a lot of questions and I have always thought it was our bottom line that was causing most of our problems rather than our salary cap, but of course it is easier to hide behind the excuse of the salary cap rather than come out and tell the world your broke.

I am surprised to hear that Taylor is under the pump and basically has only another 12months to turn things around, I mean with our roster he should start job hunting now.

Anyway thanks for the info, even if it is rather bleak

King Sirro - not Santi he is a perfect fit for NSW Cup, that's where he belongs an honest hard working plodder. Think really aggressive and someone not afraid to stand up to a previous really really good coach! That's it I'm sure you've got it now.

The thing is Taupau is an International now and apart from demanding good money to coincide with his Status , he would want to be playing in a competitive team to help him play at International level as long as possible and also would want to see some Semi Final Footy.

How big will the crowd be??? They will have to seat everyone in one row so Fox can pan on them all night, rather than try and find 3000 people in a 80,000 seat stadium

That is so disappointing, Lodge needs to be able to play his natural game, so does Brooks and Moses too, geez the more I think about it the more I want to see the back of JT.

Seems like he's doing his best to change every player. Instead of looking at his roster and coaching accordingly, he's got a certain idea and is trying to change the players. I know what's easier, come up with a plan that suits your players, rather than a plan that doesn't suit them.
