WESTS Tigers Team V Parramatta

Rankin to 9 with Lovett to the centres is diabolical. Kyle has never, ever looked any good there and has actually been decent as an (low) impact forward off the bench. Everything else is fine against sub-standard teams like Dragons and Eels. This team won't get the win against the Cowboys, even without Thurston.

I don't think Parra are going to roll over.. We could lose this one. Tired of our dummy half selections (fill ins).. Everyone knows this isn't our strongest team.

Oh well if JT is going to keep playing games with his team selections just to inflate his ego I think we can pretty much say goodbye to any tiny glimmer of hope we had of making the finals.

Yeah we're all wrong.. A hooker playing half the game and then the rest of the team taking turns there because it isn't an important position. And it opens up the bench to fit in a gun player like Edwards - genius!

Well ballin is injured, liddle can't play and Farah ruled himself out last Saturday. His only choice is Cherrington, not sure what's going on with him.

With half the Parra side out. We should win.
However if anyone thinks our strongest side has been selected..they are kidding themselves.

That is it in a nutshell, and JT is embarrassing himself asking us supporters to believe that is our strongest or best 17, please go join Farah in reserve grade JT. :crazy

lol

a below average hooker who isn't gonna be there for half the play the balls forcing locks and props to go at dummy half. i love dene, but his long passes are loopy, slow and miss the target many times.
obviously, he will only be able to play 55-60 minutes. in the other 20 minutes, he plans to move rankin to dummy half in attack where lovett goes to centre and simona to wing. then in defence, rankin moves to the wing and lovett back to backrow. this is so bloody twisted.

he has 3 better options but is too stubborn. what a moron.

Taylor is a stubborn mofo who thinks we are as stupid as him.. Trying to convince us this is the best 17..
Surely the bloke is not in check with the real world.

Arrogant person is running the risk of us missing the 8 .

Why do people twist the truth for their own agendas?
JT picked Rankin tonight for this weekends game? He's played most of the year.
JT picked Lovett? He's played most of the year.
Other than Farah's expected non selection again, the only other real surprise was Edwards inclusion. But as has rightly been pointed out, why change a winning team?

Am I missing something? Isn't this nearly the same team that's trotted out most weeks?

I thinks its making people angrier because Rankin was playing at 9 and Edwards's selection didnt make sense

Taylor didnt replace Farah with specialist Hooker, Dene has been there most games
But for some reason (maybe to fool us) he replaced JJ with Edwards who hasnt been effective the last 2 games in FG

Lovett's selection ? i have stopped complaining about him but im guessing whilst people are complaining and venting their frustration they are also disappointed he was getting moved in to the centres..
We can live with him in the 17 off the bench but not in the centres

Its becoming a case of the straw that broke the back, too many poor decisions from Taylor at the one time

Surely Rankin is not part of our future plans. Makes me think that the non selection of JAC is not due to him not being part of our plans too, but because Taylor is just too miffed that he left…...I don't get it..... if we are still in with a chance this year why is Rankin still being picked? And Lovett? Don't we want a chance to play finals rather than build around players who have no future with us anyway? I mean what the hell is going on?! Obscenities!

Im confused too.

I was Lovett's biggest hater last year and considered Taylor's decision to re-sign as one of the worst retention decisions the club has ever made. But Lovett has proven me wrong week in and week out. His metres after impact have improved out of sight. He is a year quicker than last year. He has started running good lines and he is not getting dominated in defence as he was prone to last year.

Taylor likes Rankin and of course he was going to be picked. He didnt have a poor game on the weekend so I don't understand why anyone thought he wasn't going to be picked. Would I pick him? Probably not but thats not my test on whether to criticise a selection.

Edwards was very good on Sunday. Go and watch the replay if you don't believe. He strengthened our middle considerably when he came on. He made a big difference in stopping several Drasgons surges.

We lost 2 forwards on the bench and people are surprised that Taylor did not want to use Edwards at hooker as he had previously planned.

Also Rankin is a natural half. Surely it was a logical to slot him into hooker to give Halatau a break in the circumstances? I thought his service was excellent. Im not sure I like my hooker defending on the wing but given the circumstances of the game I can live with it.

At last some common sense. The plan was never to use Rankin at half but when Grant and Rowdy went down this was the best option same as putting Lovett at centre. They have been grooming Edwards for the role in Intrust and it makes sense to me as he is a good low defender and from what I have seen from Intrust games capable of delivering a service similar to Dene from dummy half. IMO they looked at the Dragons centers and decided that, whilst there was a risk shifting Lovett, but thought he was a better option than moving Edwards. And apart from 1 break that lead to a try cause of a miss by both Brooks and Lovett, it worked. Guess we will see who is right if they maintain Edwards against Parra and we don't lose 2 players like Grant (after 3 mins) and Rowdy (after 40 }

Joel Edwards is dead set plodder.
If he is our back up plan at hooker over the last 6 weeks I fear we are doomed once we get tested by the better sides.

Did he play any dummy half against the Dragons? From where i was it looked like Rankin was the one filling in.
