WESTS Tigers Team V Roosters...

Stoked and surprised that JAC is retained! Tough on Rankin but also puts the others on notice too. Dropping a player who's been playing fairly well, but there's someone better coming into the squad is a very good sign.

I wouldn't pay a lot of attention to the numbers on the bench. One of the last 4 will play. I wouldn't say Halatau is ahead of anyone despite being named at 17.

Was absolutely cheering when JAC was named .. Seya Rankin, JT is going very nicely at the moment..

Rankin should have been shifted to no 6

I have heard this many times but I must say when he was playing at fullback against the Broncos he played as a ball player for a while and you could see he wouldn't bring anything better than brooks/Moses would do and plus his little speed wasn't going to be a positive

He should've at least been given a shot at it , cause Broses aren't breaking records either, except for missed tackles.

JAC as an inclusion is a no brainer .
Feel slightly sorry for Rankin as he hasn't done a lot wrong .
Halatau should take up lawn bowls .
As soon as Origin 1 is over Farah should do a slow charity walk up to Brisbane !

Very impressed…
No Rankin? Owch...

Halatau is lingering, daresay it's his last year in the NRL.

I would have thought Felise was a bit unlucky to miss out. He appears to add a lot more to me than Halatau does.

I think he does too, but still a young kid.
I like that Taylor is blooding him slowly if he's got other options. It's halatau's last year too, so fitting he's playing firsts with all the service he's given the Tigers. Good bloke and leader.

JJ will no doubt be a regular in next years side.

Great side! Rankin is unlucky. But wing is just not his position. The good thing is he can play there now so I would expect he will be the first inclusion for any injuries from 1 right through to 7.

Absolutely.

The side is spot on except Felise in for Halatau .
No Sirro
Rip in JAC and Teddy

I'm surprised everyone is impressed but I certainly am. JAC had to be retained over Rankin. That is a great decision. I also think that is our best backline although Nofo and Naiqama have to work on their defence. I'd keep them both though.

I think we have too many small players on the bench but I'm not sure if Lovett or Felise are suited as edge forwards whereas Halatau is so I understand the decision. I think being able to give Robbie a spell is crucial after origin and maybe going forward.

Basically I couldn't ask for anything else. Now we have to play attacking footy. That backline can score some points.

I think quite a few people owe JT an apology…...........

"Yeah I can just see it now .. JT will pick Rankin on the wing when Teddy comes back and JAC goes back to reggies…..sigh groan"

Hands up….you know who you are

Waiting for the - "oh but buckets picks the team now...not JTs call..."

I'm not sure if I said that but I can be pessimistic. Well done Jason Taylor.

Honestly JT is doing a lot right recently. I think we are playing better footy and we are using ET really well with the halves running a lot more. If we can get the halves to have much better kicking games and our forwards consistently go forward and bugger it we get the trifecta and Naiqama and Nofo defend well I'll give JT a million compliments.

Maybe it's more that JT isn't the sole selector any more, and if he was the side would have been different?

Either way, it's finally good to be excited about a line up.

People are jumping the gun a bit - it won't be 1-17\. Lovett a big chance to play despite his jersey number.
They'll finalise the team once the two NSW guys come back in to camp and are assessed.

Great news on JAC. Rankin had been solid enough but thankfully that's not good enough to get into the team now.
I can't see Farah Ballin and Halatua all playing. Farah playing midweek would be the smart choice to leave out but it's probably not that simple.

JAC will stay in 1st Grade for the rest of the year now…..no brainer really .
Bad Luck to Rankin but he is a very basic footballer , JAC adds alot of energy to our side.
Will be very interested to see who is kicking goals on the Weekend.

Thank you JT for reading my post on this Forum in regards with Sirro.....been saying it for a few years now  .
I was hoping JAC wouldn't be dropped as that would not be a good thing in trying to retain JAC .

Lovett plays mediocre game, one after another. Finally plays a good one and dropped (potentially).

But I'm happy with this side. Agreed with most other posters that Halatau has become surplus as a backup hooker now that we have ET.
