WESTS Tigers Team V Roosters...

someone…...pllleeeeaaaasssseee.....tell me why the hell michael chee kam is in there....he is our worst forward by far....if he is even classed as one

Yeah I'm a bit perplexed by that one as well. He apparently had a decent game against Cronulla - maybe he wouldn't be there if Aloiai was fit. I think Grant can consider himself unlucky, thought he was good for us in the trials, looks to be running with more intent and I think we could use another specialist prop in that team.

Also I'm surprised that Taylor, Benji and Twal just waltz into the side after being under an injury cloud for weeks and not playing any pre season games. Still in Ivan we trust….

Is Aloiai injured? He would've been a valuable asset to our forward pack and I think that he will be sorely missed in round 1.

I would prefer Eisenhuth playing at lock because that would provide a lot more metres up the middle - especially when our starting back-row isn't going to make too many metres. This would mean that Taylor is moved to starting hooker with Godinet dropping back onto the bench.

Then without Eisenhuth in the prop rotation, we need to include an extra prop on the bench; either Felise or Grant, doesn't bother me which one. Then we can start with Lawrence and Rochow in the back row with MCK coming off the bench.

So I would've prefered:

8\. Packer
9\. Taylor
10\. Twal/Matulino
11\. Lawrence
12\. Rochow
13\. Eisenhuth

14\. Godinet
15\. Felise/Grant
16\. Matulino/Twal
17\. MCK

A lot of people were predicting a back 5 of Thompson, Nofoluma, Marsters, Kev, MWZ but Ivan ended up going for Lolohea to replace Nofoaluma (via Thompson).

I have complete faith and trust in Ivan. Regardless of who is in our team, I wish them all the best and hope we can get the season off to a winning start against the Chooks.

Still reckon that the side will alter to pretty well match your second paragraph.

If Benji is out I'd expect Taylor at 9 godinet on the bench, eisenhuth to lock and grant in.

Either way seems like a decent side given who is unfit or not being considered for other reason

I wonder if people saw the trial and how crap we were until MCK came on and changed the game, making a huge impact off the bench.

Yes he looked sharp and made us look dangerous.

Got to agree, he was our best backrower in that game, just proves you put in you get rewarded, might make a few others sit up and take notice now.

I think I prefer that side anyways.

Me too

Also congrats to what looks to be our ONE captain. Rowdy.

Listed on our website but not nrl.com

When does Chris Lawrence contract expire?

I thought Grant should have jagged a bench spot.

Could JJ Feilse work as a second row option???

end 2019 for Rowdy..

Why Lawrence? He is fast enough to be first in commentary box, if he faster than Roach :bash
Grant was with Falise our best prop in the trials.
Hopefully, we will see (assuming Liddle, Sue, Aloiai are unavailable)

Matulino
Godinet
Grant
Taylor
McQueen
Eisenhuth

Twal
Falise
Packer
Rochow

Cronk will be testing our wingers and Tui. Tupou and Ferguson tower over our guys - not much they can physically do about that.
