Joey is diabolical. Needs to show us something we haven't seen in 2 years. Very unlikely.

Joey has run out of options if he wants to continue his career he will need to aim up or no one will be interested in him. Surely he has worked that out.

because he made about 51 tackles and had the big boppers running at him all day.

I just wanna see the backs, Jimmy in particular, get some early ball. He still hasn't been brought into the attack.
I wanna see players running off each-others hip and pop short balls, like the AD to Garner try.
I wanna see the ball move through the hands a bit quicker. Still stuffs me why they insist on playing so flat when they can't move the ball quicker than the defenders.

The 2 changes would of been Talau gone offers zip coaches fav obviously . And Brooks nothing is happening in the halves something needs to change there would of given Madden a run as he would offer at least variety and something different and you just never know . Joey was always coming back as the cupboard is bare .

Who would you replace Talau with? Only 2 options we're allowed to use would be Cini (has only played fullback in reserves), or Hoffman (a centre).

We really have no outside backs to choose from.

The really sad part is that neither of those 3 is a winger.

How in the world is Amore not in there over Sefarth ??? What has this guy got to do to get a run in a team that gets flogged each week.. I won't even started on Cini missing out.

Hartigan said Amone wasn't quite ready given he's only a few weeks back from his ACL rehab and NRL is a totally different speed to NSW Cup.

It's like with Blore last year, you have to bring them along slowly after such a long time out, otherwise you risk them blowing out too early both in terms of injury risk and simply getting through their allotted minutes.

My observation (opinion) is neither of their services is accurate. Far too often the first receiver is taking the ball at full stretch above their head.

I'm sure they'll improve but right now they're both a long way from having good service. It stutters the attack badly and puts unnecessary pressure on the halves on the later tackles.

Simpkin didn't miss the first tackle try, Musgrove did (Twal was secondary). You are thinking of the 3rd try, but even that one I wouldn't entirely pin on Simpkin, because Turbo runs away from him and Mbye fails to cover to his outside as Turbo veers away from Simpkin.

Liddle is a decent player but he wasn't setting the world on fire his first 5 matches 2021, and Simpkin was good against Souths.

I agree and it's not the same rules. With HIA, it's a high risk you lose a back in general play, whereas in the days of Deno and Farah, you could cop a head knock and play on. Also, point again, Halatau covered backrow and centres, he wasn't just a hooker. In fact Halatau really wasn't a hooker at all, he just had a good running game from DH.
