Wests Tigers Team V Storm

As good as Lawrence has been for the club he must be under pressure. He just has not been a threat for awhile now.. alot to do with injuries not effort. I hope he can prove me wrong. If he falls our of the 17 it might be tough for him to get back in and I expect McQueen to start putting some big efforts in at reggies.

Maybe Benji and him can turn back the clock it will just be at a lower speed.

If only Lawrence could've hung onto a few of Benji's inside crash balls over the years we would have won 3 comps by now .

You have to question why every coach Rowdy has ever had puts him in 1st grade when fit..no coach as ever dropped him…it's one of those great Rugby League Mysteries I guess

Its mysterious that a guy who bleeds for the club gives you 100 percent each and every week is honest loyal respectful does all the dirty work that's asked and plays the full 80 minutes plays first grade every week strange that is

I do see the point that he mite not be as powerful as other players in his position but heart and gumption go along way

It doesn’t matter if he’s a nice guy, because that isn’t what it’s about apparently. Except when Packer first signed, then it did matter what kind of person our players were.

I thought Rowdy would an option for the bench only, but he impressed me during the trials and last week as well. I can see why Ivan is sticking with him.

Problem with Tui being out and Nof in is we lose a heap of pace. Storm are the fastest team in the comp and we've now gotten even slower.

We will need to keep switched on as I can see Storm attacking us from a long way out to use their pace. Our goal line defence may not be tested as much because their pace is nullified in close range.

???
You reckon Tui is faster than Nofo?

Most definitely. Nof is the slowest part of the backline

I think Grant might play. Makes no coaching sense to have him sit out two weeks in a row.

In the late mail he has been named to start with Sue in the front row of ISP.
And a backrow of ; 11\. Chris McQueen, 12\. Luke Garner (capt.), 13\. Bayley Sironen.

Yep, he had to play this week.

Except John Grant looked bog average in Reggies.

Gamble looks too good for reggies.

GNR has a massive negative opinion of the guy.

Look forward to the excuses once he makes it.

John Grant, Tom Humble, he keeps adding to it

Not surprising he rated our previous coach very highly, me I have rated Gamble for quite some time.
He would not be out of place in first grade, he could easily take Brooks spot

Already looks better than Brooks. I'm a bit over Brooks tbh, waiting…waiting for him to actually turn into a decent halfback. He's had near 100 NRL games to prove his worth - still yet to see anything consistently good about his game. If it hasn't come by now, I'm not sure it ever will.

Yet he has never been dropped - 3 coaches now have given him all the time in the world to develop and fire, but we're still all waiting, waiting, waiting. He just doesn't talk on the field or try to organise his team. Halfbacks are supposed to talk and demand the ball, dammit! Surely this season it must be time for him to shape up or ship out.

That is my take on on Brooks too, he has had over 80 NRL games, and we are still waiting, that is my beef with him, he should have delivered by now, and he should be in reserve grade trying to earn is spot back, so should Kev.

Ivan keeps picking Brooks. There must come a point soon where you start questioning him if you are so against Brooks.

You are right, I am already questioning why he is in the team, along with Kev, but Ivan has got better results with the team overall than any coach for a long time, so I will not go hard at him yet

Why he makes the team.
He's a great bloke a real professional, Fitness machine, good off the field a true club-man(one club Player)and a non conflict type of person.

Why he shouldn't make the team
He cant catch the ball.

And each of those coaches has been sacked by the club - every single one of them (Potter not extended).
