You keep saying the tiger logo is highly marketable. What makes it more marketable than any other logos? The investment from the public coffers alone demands that Leichhardt be used equally with Campbelltown. It is interesting that WTs accepted the financial contributions from the various levels of govt to upgrade the ground only to turnaround and have the CEO advise 3 games only will be played. This is quite a revealing decision.
Arthur Laundy has already expressed an interest in the WTs. The tiger logo is highly marketable. Could it get worse for WTs supporters than have the club in private ownership?

So why is it so marketable? That's a separate issue.

The Tiger is associated with strength, agility and speed. It is instantly recognisable. So why is it so marketable?
When $40m of public monies is provided/expended via grants/payments, it is subject to relevant legislation and guidelines of govt. You specifically mention LO and CSS then link a govt website

Fair enough. I've never considered any of that when being concerned about which rugby league team I support. For the most part I think it is drivel (my opinion only). The Tiger is associated with strength, agility and speed. It is instantly recognisable.
In Chinese mythology, the tiger is not only a symbol of power and protection but also a representation of the west cardinal point.
In Japanese mythology,

Thanks for your reply and a good post.Fair enough. I've never considered any of that when being concerned about which rugby league team I support. For the most part I think it is drivel (my opinion only).
Having the tiger be symbolic in Chinese and Japanese mythology may very well be a useful marketing tool given the changing Sydney population. So I do think there is at least something there.
I feel like you could whack together a few paragraphs to suggest any other single logo as highly marketable. Maybe not a rooster but certainly the rest of them.
Ok then... show me where the 'demand' is that LO and CSS be used equally .When $40m of public monies is provided/expended via grants/payments, it is subject to relevant legislation and guidelines of govt.
It's the use of public monies and achieving best outcome for ratepayer or taxpayer dollar. The expenditure of $40m of taxpayer or ratepayer dollars for 3 games a year seems underwhelming.Ok then... show me where the 'demand' is that LO and CSS be used equally .
I think you just made this up
Theyre totally seperate projects
That is nothing to do with CSS and LO being used equallyIt's the use of public monies and achieving best outcome for ratepayer or taxpayer dollar. The expenditure of $40m of taxpayer or ratepayer dollars for 3 games a year seems underwhelming.
Youre inferring it was to be equally used between CSS and LO and then Richo came out and changed his mind.
The Federal $20m, State $10m and Inner West $10m levels of govt contributed to the upgrade of Leichhardt Oval and yet we have the CEO advising he plans only to play 3 games at the venue. If anyone needed proof of a disconnect between WTs, the various levels of govt and our supporters, here it is. This is extremely disappointing because supporters vote with their wallets and WTs' games at Leichhardt Oval are nearly always well attended against out of Sydney teams. Plus the atmosphere at Leichhardt Oval is superb. Why do we not play to our strengths especially when we are facing tough times? Surely you take advantage of every opportunity including making it hard for opposition teams by playing at Leichhardt.
