I have a question for all about an old Wests Magpies player John Ribot

What is something very few people know about Ribot (and it has nothing to do with being a Rugby League player)

I only noticed it when I saw him named to play for Newtown

i think most would know his real name was John Ribot de Bresac - most everything he did after playing for Newtown had to do with him being a leaugue player (except when he was boss of a soccer club)

Amazingly he got awarded an Auistralian Sports medal in 2000 for contributions to Rugby League - not sure of your technicality happy - maybe the spelling of his first name?

Was it spelt Ribot de Brassec or Brassic? :imp: Had to go back to full name after being instrumetal in screwing us all over with Superleague than jumped codes. :bash
