who in their right mind would even support a split?

The only Nuffie I remember who supported this movement was a weirdo who called himself alien… souffs adopted him
I believe he is in court right now on serious charges.

Andrew Denton would say the same things that idiot would say, and then get bagged and attacked by that idiot on those ideas. lives in glass house, throws biggest rocks in sydney and cries when attacked.

You would come to a quick full stop (again showing the issue) because I doubt Romero and co would vote for you to join them as debenture holders.

Or, get elected through the members and Romero and co could drum up some thin accusations against you and you'll be out.

Seriously, this is what we are up against.

Your petition doesn't have to be answered by HBG or Liquor and Gaming or the minister.

- He mentioned the change in hierarchy as 'interesting' or some such in a TV Interview / Podcast.
I can't remember who was on the Board that stood down, Burgess was one (Was Romero another?

Statement this time last year:
Dennis Burgess, Wests Magpies Chairman (shareholder of the Wests Tigers), said the Magpies fully endorsed the review’s recommendations because they will be key to the Wests Tigers future success.

What Changed Dennis?
The make up of the boardroom

What did the muppet do to get himself into legal troubles?

He was the most deranged person I’ve ever come across on any message board that’s for sure

Edit: sorry if not allowed to be discussed

How many times has someone explained it on here ?
For the millionth time , the aim is to force the HBG to follow through with the recommendations of the review wholly and solely .
Any HBG board reshuffle is only to affect the outcome of the review .
I think everyone wants the HBG to go back to playing lawn bowls and wearing thier blazers and looking important at football matches .

Wanted the petition organisers to spell it out but since Joel has upvoted the post I'll take it as good.

You will achieve nothing this way so the aim is to create destabilisation and pressure.

The aim is to improve the governance of the Wests Tigers and its major shareholder.

But unlike your 1st petition where you called for an independent external review now your actually questioning the governance of a successful entity.

There are no parallels with the Parramatta situation here. I can't see the minister or Liquor and Gaming wasting their time .

It would be far better to call for vote at WA.......if you are a member, which I assume you are. Push for Gilbert and Wayde on the board.

Seems this is all above WA members.

You know there a other petitions going on.

Might be a regular thing.

HBG shouldn’t waste their time.

No point, when the HBG is made up of 5 debenture holders. Unless you are part of the 18 there is no way to drive for change.

A board that is on the verge of expelling its only 2 member elected directors is a dysfunctional board.

I don't like debenture system either...........

However it's been in place for a long time and the group is growing........possibly 100 million plus in assets.

In life and in business I've learnt often when things exist for a long time and they are working (for HBG) it's probably better not to disturb that. It has created stability for the group.

But look thanks for your courteous reply.

You are very much free to hold that opinion, just as I am to disagree and advocate for change.

Signed the petition. We really need to get the debenture voting aspect changed - and to be clear $100 or so dollars should not be able to buy such influence in the running of a club- either Wests Ashfield / HBG - no idea if whats left of Balmain has similar structure either. As an aside, does Wests Macarthur have similar structure? I'd also like somehow for the Balmain side to get some money (supporters / business) and get some increased stake in the JV- wasnt it supposed to be 30%, 30% Magpies and 40% HBG? Maybe if that balance returns things may stabilise along with the debenture holders influence being lessened.
Forget $100. No amount of money should be able to buy you influence in a non-profit club. Except for normal membership fees

Seems like you're spending a lot of time on arguing against a petition you 'shouldn't be wasting your time on'. Strange if you're not worried.

Did you play bass in Masters Apprentices?

Not sure a review is what is needed this time around, but I was wrong last time so I'll sign.

(I think) I'd much rather protest outright. I'm very much in agreement with the principle of letting HBG do its thing in clubland with its tin-pot factional warlords, as long as there isn't any overreach into WT and how the club is run.

But then again the petition for a review is of itself a form of protest...

I'm feeling more and more that the efforts on here are leading to a Wests Tigers supporters faction. Like a voice to parliament for reasonable, non-delusional, Wests Tigers fans and members, who just want to see good professionals left to do their jobs properly. It's really wonderful to see.
