They ousted the directors on the board that supported the review and then found a way to ban them for a combined total of 15 years over dubious disputed claims, get called out in the media for their antiquated system that is structured around nepotism ahead of talent, and now they respond - yeah right.
Not buying any of it. They have been holding onto their cushy positions for too long on the back of embarrassing results. Blow up the system and let them get in the cue to be elected with people who are suitably armed to move this club forward.

Are the rigorous screening of debenture holders done at family reunions
Love it. , well done , they make out their elected by the 27,000 members , what they didn’t say was we are elected by 18 people and the rest can boot off , Rick Wade needs to come out now and update where they are actually up to with the implementations , also they forgot to say we are being investigated by liquor and gaming , the review of the review isn’t done m and we are stopping anyone and everyone who applies for a spot on Wests Tigers board so we can jump back on and get free food , wine and beers plus our big heads in corporate boxes , they also stated again they are the main financial backer but it’s wrong the nrl put in over 13.5 million ,

Sorry I wasn't insinuating you said they would go bankrupt, but after what you told me that was my opinion, I just can't see how the muppets could run the joint without the pokies money.
I had a Quick Look at their pokies clearances
was about 39.9 million to the group , so probably go broke with out it

FACT: The review recommends the appointment of four independent directors, one of whom shall be Chair. The review recommends an externally led, independent recruitment process. This process is nearing completion as we speak so stay tuned for an exciting announcement in the coming weeks.

FACT: Barry O’Farrell has no issue in applying and understands he was initially on the board in an interim capacity. Despite what else you are being told the definitions of “independent” and “interim” have not changed since March 2024.

FACT: Holman Barnes Group has one representative on the Wests Tigers Board, as recommended by the review. Wests Magpies and Balmain Tigers each have a representative and these persons are nominated and elected by their respective Boards.

FACT: Wests Tigers operations, including the Football Department is independent of Holman Barnes Group, and we are committed to that independence. Any suggestion to the contrary is patently false. Barry, Shane and the staff at Wests Tigers know they have the full support of Holman Barnes Group.

FACT: The Holman Barnes Group remains steadfastly committed to doing good by our members and community. We are a membership organisation and our job is to support our members and our community. We are coming off a record trading year and have also contributed to 80 organisations through our provision of over $3 million to the community. We’re proud of what we do and trust you are as well.

FACT: We provide financial support to Wests Tigers, Wests Magpies, Balmain Tigers and 34 amateur sporting organisations (intra clubs). This is something we have done for many years and will continue to support into the future. From a Wests Tigers perspective, Holman Barnes Group is the major financial backer of the JV and has been for a number of years. For our intra clubs, the Board remain committed to helping you achieve your goals. Supporting our community, including our local sporting clubs, is something all of us at Holman Barnes Group are very proud of and passionate about.

FACT: The structure of Holman Barnes Group has served the Club and community well for 69 years. The debenture holder system enabled our Club to open its doors in 1955. Beyond this, the system has ensured stability in an ever changing environment.

FACT: Debenture holders are first and foremost Club members who undergo a rigorous screening process to obtain a debenture, which is issued for a five year period. The debenture may or may not be renewed beyond that time following further governance processes.

FACT: Debenture holders are nominated for election to the Board and indeed it is our members who confirm that nomination and election to the Board at each relevant Annual General Meeting.

FACT: The Board as currently constituted is dismayed and concerned over the recent “leaking” of past Board papers or confidential material to the media. We ask those responsible to please desist as this behaviour is only serving to promote division and angst amongst our members and Wests Tigers supporters.

Finally, and happily, the future at Holman Barnes Group and Wests Tigers is bright. We’re entering 2025 full of excitement – both on and off the field. The football club has assembled an exciting and competitive team; a team our members and Wests Tigers supporters simply cannot wait to watch.

At Holman Barnes Group we’re looking to exceed our record trade as a Group and contribute even more to our community. These are the things we stand for. A new year brings promise and potential and we have some really exciting plans for the year and indeed the future. Most importantly, at this time we hope you all have a happy and healthy summer break and you can look forward to 2025 as a Holman Barnes Group member and Wests Tigers fan with optimism and enthusiasm. We’re here to serve you, our members, and we look forward to continuing to do this.

FACT - they only care about their cohorts.

FACT - they dont care about their fans - they serve themselves

FACT - This comes to light every few years and tears our club apart

FACT - they feel they can buy more time with their fact sheet

FACT - we will never have cohesion whilst they are still in place.

FACT - the devils greatest trick was to wear a suit and tie and and tell us that he/she serves the people.

FACT - never trust a person/organisation based on their rhetoric but rather what they do.

You notice how it says The Group never did this stuff. It doesn’t say no one from the organisation discussed this so it just didn’t happen in group meetings.

The statement is full of weasel words too. They can say the Holman Barnes Group haven’t discussed bringing back the Magpies but we know Burgess has made those statements. It’s interesting HBG and Denny boy haven’t come out and stated otherwise or refuted those claims.

Also the point they raised around the phrase ‘wind back the review.’ They might not have used that exact term but her emails of Dec 2023 and her emails directives to the Wests Tigers board certainly show she is halting the implementation of recommendations.

No one is claiming they said those exact words. But their actions certainly amount to winding it back.

The statement shows the pressure is working, but I dont believe it at all given what we know. Very two faced operators.

We also don't want to have to do this every time the power goes to the head for these debenture holders and they make a dumb decision.

I see nothing in that statement to stop the work being done by WT untie and everyone. Just trying to save their blazers now. They still ousted 3 directors on trumped up charges just days ago and wont respond in the media about it. One of them was the most qualified to sit on the board.

The debentures system is a self serving scam that has finally been exposed.
The wider problem (see the Constitution) is that Social Members are ineligible to either nominate a Director or stand for election. This is restricted to General Members, of which there are less than 200. So the debenture system is only the “tip of the iceberg.”
Social Members of three or more year’s standing do get a chance to vote in Board elections, but only when more than the required number are nominated.

Yes, there may be progress on that soon though.
