That is disappointing to hear. That B Workers team is down half their regulars also.

Difficult to assess on the score alone for mine. There have been two different standards applied in the ruck that combined with some poor errors by us has starved us of the ball. Three of their tries came from pick pocketing our winger on a awkward bounce from a kick, and intercept and an ordinary kick that bounced of the post in Blacktown favour.

If you have a moment...how have Fitzgibbon, Kei and Rodwell looked mate?

Fitzgibbon has been defensively sound. Hasn’t really had the ball, he did make a good 25-30m run scooting out of dummy half.

Kei looks a specimen. Again hasn’t had a lot of opportunity with the ball as yet.

Rodwell has been solid. Been putting his hand up and working hard with and without the ball.

Here’s hoping we change refs at half time and improve our discipline. Too many times Manly had two sets of six to move down the field with. We have shown some when we have the ball though.

Pretty boring half. Nothing that excited me but I doubt any of these guys were earmarked for 1st grade this year.

No intensity and not much communication. Blacktown lads are screaming at each other whereas the Maggie’s seem to be whispering

Looked to me like Fitzgibbon missed more tackles than he made. Nothing special

Jersey Flegg WT 34 Wabbits 18. FT

The first 15 minutes of the second half were a repeat of the first, lots of silly mistakes and turnovers. 18 all with 20 to go. The last 20 was a different story. They worked well as a team both in defence and attack keeping the Wabbits scoreless in the last twenty and putting on plenty of team tries. Resulting in 7 tries to 3 overall.

Goalkicking obviously an issue at this level as well.

Looked to me like Fitzgibbon missed more tackles than he made. Nothing special

I’ll watch his tackling more in the second half if he’s on. I will admit I was watching his kick defense more than his work in the line.

In attack I have no concerns he runs good lines and can score a try, it's his defence that's the issue
