My take aways:


- Brooks 100% looked the dominant half with both Madden and AD on. Touched the ball almost every set.

- Liddle has earn’t that starting spot, got through a lot of work, picked his runs well and showed plenty of speed. I think with Simpkins coming off the bench we are a real threat for 80mins.

- Stefano Utoikamanu has not looked out of place at all in first grade, he has locked in that bench spot round 1 for me.

- Madden looked ok however I think some time in CC will do him good. Mybe for me get the number 6 round one with Laurie at fullback.

- Luciano played almost a perfect game - was another playmaker for us on the field. Expect big things from him this year.

- I thought we were making easy metres up the middle with Tamou, Joffa and Twal all on at the same time - great to have some size.

- Roberts was a little shaky with 1 on 1 defence but oh boy its great to see some speed again.

- I think AJ deserves first crack at the second wing spot, thought he played well and had some strong carries out of our half.

Jake Simpkin looked better than Liddle.

I wonder if Madge will start 1. Laurie 9. Simpkin and 14. Mbye

or go conservative with 1. Mbye 9. Liddle 14. MCK

I'm sure I don't know why people rave about MCK, he just runs across field or at least he did today !::anguished:

I thought Liddle looked good, but for all this talk on here about his service being top class he threw quite a few shaky ones. Needs to back himself running the footy a little more but again, I thought he looked good and probably will start at hooker.

I thought Packer did alright. Problem is he tricks us with a good game then against the good teams runs the ball twice all game

Tuilagi was one of most impressive for me. He has looked a real prospect in both our trials. For me, he is a must for top 30 this year

Lucy, AD, Stefano, Laurie, Roberts all standouts. Very impressive performance overall.

Put ice on them all then wrap them in cotton wool, just keep them all good to go for the season
