Very good hit out seeing it's the 1st time they have played in match conditions..

Defence was very good given the Warriors had a lot of ball...

Best for us BJ Leilua Lawrence Mikaele Thompson Garner L Leilua Taylor Reynolds...Brooks some nice touches in the second half after being very quite the 1st...Marshall ran the 1st 40..I also thought Walters was decent but don't think he can play 80mins week in week out at 9..it's an issue...

Elijah Taylor was pretty good today. Maybe he grabs a bench spot for round 1. Lock is the position he’s best at and that’s where we lack the most

Considering our lack of ball in the first half it was very encouraging.Defensive pattern seemed far more solid than usual and we didnt need to rely upon scrambling as much as we normaly do.
Still its only a trial so i cant get too excited.We defend like that during the season and i will be satisfied

It’s curious that Jennings went off. Makes you wonder if Madge made up his mind at some point during the game who his back 3 will be and wanted to close the game out with them.

- Douihei chimed in well as a ball player, he is our fullback
- Nofo made a terrible read in D, leading to a try
- ET is underrated, a must in the team
- Walters is your starting 9
- Centre depth is an issue

Walmesley would be too expensive and too old when he arrives,the younger guns we already have get my vote

He was cut pretty bad in the face....
But yeah he was very average.

Madge has got our forward pack looking the goods in D and attack, best forward for me Musgrove also Seyfarth impressed when he came on...The Leilua boys WOW! the future looks bright with these 2...Doueihi looked a little lost when taking on the line but that will improve with time and finds his place with the ballplayers. All in all a good turn out by Madges boys... Fingers crossed also that the injury to Moses isn’t the same one that hampered his game last year.

Reckon that he wrestled control back to our forwards and literally at that. His energy was enormous out there this afternoon and right up until his last involvement.

Arguabley turned the game with the one on one steal. Has to be in front of Lawrence and McQueen in the pecking order now.

I expect that Maguire has been looking to get a bit more oomph into the side by trailing Aloiai at lock, but as you alluded to earlier, the guy gets gassed really quickly and apart from one good tackle, he looked like he was playing in slow motion and a step behind in his second stint.

Reckon the only thing that could keep Elijah out, is Maguire wanting Eisenhuth as the bigger body, though he may well take both intomround one.

Obviously the win will bring us confidence.
We saw that BJ trusts to pass to his winger.
We know our forwards are definitely GOOD.
