LIVE GAME Weststigers v Bulldogs Rd 15 *Spoilers

Live Game Discussion
Our forwards are weak, but those blaming them need to look at bench selection and rotation. We came in with a very undersized bench and really suffered when twal was KO'd. Twal is always important, but the team selections made him our most important player today in holding down the centre of the field for us for 70 or so minutes. Without him, we really exposed our lack of forwards on the bench and kimmorley did not adjust the game plan by bringing brown in for some kind of lock role which would have enabled Joe O to rotate with the props. Not doing this meant our forwards were left on until they could hardly run, let alone make strong tackles and hit ups.

We had a weak undersized bench, compounded by twal going down and adjustments after that were none existent and the forwards were hung out to dry. All this compounded by one of the most inept kicking displays I've ever seen. Horrible horrible coaching not giving this side a chance to at least compete physically.

I have been calling him out all year.
He isn’t close to NRL level.
Would prefer giving a rookie a crack.

He also has the least meters gained by any forward v minutes played in the NRL.
Yea same here , he is nowhere near 1st grade ,we must have a weak lot in 2nd grade if we don
Nah, there's still a few individuals that have a go, and I applaud them, but as a team you are correct.
I think at this point, this team knows that this club is completely directionless. No plan, no coach, no clue, No worries I still get paid!
Why try?
There's our culture
Yep I wouldn’t pay some of them , put their $ into the kids hospital

The dogs were putting pressure off the kickers, I don't know if the service from dummy half was just slow or if the halves are just too dumb to stand a bit deeper. I thought he had two bad kicks and we scored off one of them. Ken does not try too hard if a kick or pass does not land on his chest.
He had a few mate including yet another that went out on the full. He has zero confidence and needs to back a grade or to another club to see if he can find it again.

It's always hard for halves when the forwards struggle but, right from the start, Brooks was poor. He has good games but he can't read the game and his kicking game is too poor to rely on. Today he was unplayable and should have been pulled after 20. He cannot be a part of whatever comes next no matter what his salary or position in the club.

Sometimes he runs well, rarely does he pass well and he almost never kicks well.

Brooks is done done done.

Keep Joe O, twal and blood some youngsters. Garner and tualagi are gone next season so who else can we give run to?

FWIW I thought Nofo was the only one playing with venom. He made mistakes but IMO he was easily our best out there (at least in attack).
He isn’t super fast for a winger, but he is, and has always been, a reliable and first class finisher. He walks into any team, which can’t be said of almost any other player we have.

Many players have bad thoughts about their coach and may say them in secrecy that may never get heard by the public.

Yes Potter should never have been sacked.

And whether Farah was unlucky for getting caught for saying it, or if it was a heat-of-the-moment thing or he used poor judgement of words by telling someone just to get backstabbed for it, Farah is still one of the legends of this club, as is Benji, Hodgson, Richards etc.

And for the sake of the WT identiy they should always be respected and be given every opportunity to have some type of role in the club.

Excerpts
Paul Crawley from The Daily Telegraph
June 19th, 2022 7:30 pm
"Ayoub said Farah was sick of being blamed for trying to get his coach sacked."

"Asked why five weeks ago he went to Tigers chief executive Grant Mayer and asked that the players not be involved in the coaching decision, Farah said: “Because it is a distraction when players get involved in those sort of things. That is not for us to worry about."

As a playing group and senior players we spoke about it. The only way we can assure Mick’s position is to win footy games and that is what we have been trying to do and that is what we have been trying to focus on.”

As can be seen Farah did not want Potter to be sacked and he may or not have said those words but the one thing for certain here is that G.Tallis was the one stiring the pot.
That is ridiculously naive.
