If you can wait to make your purchase , buy at Xmas time , it is the worst time of year for new car sales and they will do almost anything to get a deal and offer ridiculous amounts for trades

What are you blokes up to ......driving the car back from picking the young fella and have warning light s coming up and the car is spluttering worse than the WT's

Nice car and a lot of money to walk away from. The next door neighbour in Leura had a turbo Volvo station wagon, one of two in Australia. He has been offered big dollars by Volvo enthusiasts to sell. I believe he has now as he had no use for it.

My youngest son wants a Skyline. I plan to get him one. My eldest would like a Series 1 RX7. I may have a GT 78 model about somewhere - Japanese edition.

I could never work out why Mazda never offered a MX5 with a 13B and call it an RX5. It would have been an awesome car, like a poor mans AC Cobra.

My first car was a RX2 with a bridgeported 13B

The MX5 is a great little car.

This car is owned by a professional early Mazda restorer. He's a dedicated Mazda enthusiast. This is a Series 4 RX2 Coupe which we never received in Aust. This was found sitting under a tree in Japan, imported to Aust and restored.

I have two car stories that are incredible but no one gives a rats.

When I was a young bloke, my mate (who is now my brother in law) had a girlfriend with a wealthy father who raced at Bathurst in the 60's. One card night at their place my mate asked his GF to show me his dads car. We go out to the garages and have a look, she tells me it is "some kind of Ferrari. It was a Ferrari 250LM. There were only two made, to race at Le Mans. Google it. He sold it (I think) in the 80's. They sell now for 10's of millions.

The second car story involves the same bloke. In the late 80's, early 90's the fastest and most expensive car in the world was a Jaguar XJ220. Gorgeous, enormous, fast expensive thing. There was only one in Australia. Some bloke bought one and had it imported to Australia. The guy who bought it paid my mates, GF's dad to drive it to him from the airport. He fanged it in the tunnel and put the side of it into the wall. From memory the entire body was a single piece of some hi tech metal. Maybe a year later it was part of an exhibition at the Powerhouse museum and we went to look at it. You couldnt get close to it, it was on a turntable and all lit up and at one angle you could see all the "orange peel" down one side. Tragedy.

Edit: never trust your memory, google says there were 32 250LM's made.

Coupe is so cool.

I wish I could find the pics of my car, it was so cool. It was raced by the previous owner at Oran Park. 3" pipes all the way from the manifold, A9X flares, bathurst fuel cell. Loved it so much. Lost my license twice in that beauty.

Mate of mine years and years ago had a capella with a 13b in it ..went hard but was always in for repairs as we were young and dumb ?

I like the RX7 third Gen (FD) I think but wouldn’t be brave enough to buy a rotary engine car .
