You are reporting a problem that doesn’t exist. The car will have died long before the batteries do. EVs last approximately 1.5 times that of a ICE. Once the EV is done the batteries still have pretty good capacity and so can be used for grid storage or other purposes and they can also be recycled to recover materials needed. What about the problem of a mountain of dead EV batteries?
Are we creating a big problem by trying to solve the pollution problem?
I'm not disagreeing with your post, but I just viewed a very interesting article from John Cadogan the Auto Expert who put up a very good argument against EV's.You are reporting a problem that doesn’t exist. Sorry mike, I don't know how to do that.Link? I’d like to read first to be able to respond
He posts several and often leads with “I am not anti-EV” which basically means he is.Sorry mike, I don't know how to do that.
Just look up John Cadogan Auto Expert on Utube and you should be able to find it 👍 .
Back in the day I needed a car and went to the Car Auctions on Parramatta Rd West of Leichhardt. After standing there despondent for a couple of hours a purple coupe appeared on the stage and bidding started very cheaply. I ended up purchasing a Mazda RX4 with the 13B rotary engine for 900 dollars. It was a little rough on the outside but like new on the inside with plastic still on the rear trim bits. It had a miss, so I drove it home bought a new set of plugs, gave it a service and she purred like a thirsty kitten. Next day I took it out to visit friends in the west and decided to see how it performed on the highway. The Speedo had a top speed of 200, and I started accelerating down the motorway with one eye out for the dreaded men in blue. I started going past Holden's and Ford's like they were standing still, looked down at the Speedo and it was bouncing off the 200 stop. What a car it was.Best made plans and all, I intended on buying a Mazda RX2 Coupe. My own RX7 1980 is in the workshop for engine rebuild, gearbox etc. I dropped down to the workshop and the workshop owner pushes out a Mazda dealer delivered RX7 1984 convertible, which is No 6 of 6 built. This is a very rare care with the 12A turbo rotary engine and has been owned by the current owner since 1990. The owner is now in his 90s! The workshop owner has serviced the car since 1990 and it is a good car which is especially important when buying a vintage Mazda rotary. The current owner gave me a significant discount because he knows the car will not be modified. I'll post photos when I own it. We are on our way through to Koroit so this is very unexpected!
This is a US convertible which has had a hard life but is typical of the condition in which you would find an RX7 of this vintage. This car does not have the 12A turbo rotary engine.
Thanks for your input. The RX4 is a beautiful car and it is like sitting in a cockpit of a plane in the RX4 Coupe. There worth a fortune now. I know a Canberra RX4 Coupe ex race car, no rust was selling for offers over $50,000.Back in the day I needed a car and went to the Car Auctions on Parramatta Rd West of Leichhardt.
