What is wrong with our club ?

We’ve got potential talent coming through but we regularly lose these players to successful clubs or keep the ones who don’t really kick on. Benji and Farah are the only high calibre players that have come through our systems and stayed with the club and had success (respected across the league, rep honours). Hopefully that changes but we can’t live on hope alone. Api and Papalii are quality players but the rest of are side is either untried or average at best. I like your optimism and looking at the bright side outlook but if you take away the gloss we are running in quick sand.
So we have jagged a star from Panthers and a weapon from Parra. Some of the best recruitment drives in history involve multi-player raids on clubs. You buy a culture. I’d be looking at some forwards at those two clubs who are either on the outer or not currently getting used properly. Nathan Brown, Ofahiki Ogden, Oregon Kaufusi, Spencer Leniu. Imagine adding all of them to our side 💪🏻💪🏻

We’ve had 8 months to do this…hopefully there’s been plenty of work behind the scenes.

Simple question but I have no idea other than we are losers. I'm probably considered a loser. I don't have a flashy car or house or clothes and I support a dud team so no offense to anyone.

I'd like to try and understand what is wrong. I have an unsubstantiated opinion that we have been for a long while operating on a reduced budget and that has led to us not being able to attract and retain quality players. I think without the cattle no team will ever be successful in any professional sport.

Everything is wrong with the club. But also nothing is wrong.

My name is Earl.

I think it would be more constructive to say what's right with our club.
I'll start
That was a cheap shot.
I am simply disappointed by the incompetence that seems to be this clubs definition.
Many on this forum seem to be casting around for explanations about why we have been so average/bad for so long. If we just hire this prop, that coach, this center, that fullback etc etc etc we will find the end of the rainbow.
Others seem happy to trust in management that a positive change will suddenly appear like a rabbit out of a hat.
My only explanation is that the club doesn't seem able to stick to a plan,or follow a selected course to its finish. The club appears to me to be unstable at its core which then filters out to its extremities, the coach and players. Other than that I'm as confused as anyone.
I got no idea, but I'm not happy with what I'm seeing at the moment.

Good post.

They are far too reactive. The recent sacking of Madge has shown that it was quite clear they were at the beginning of the year prepared to stick it out instead of moving him on only to shit the bed and punt him when it became apparent two other clubs would also be in the pursuit for a coach in a pretty low end market.

Meanwhile it has been routinely stated that we "moved on our own timeline" despite having no clear commitments from an identified long term replacement while the club continues to freefall on field due to the players being given another excuse not to turn up.

Maybe we’re looking at this the wrong way.
Could it be that we’ve actually been quite good,
in an era where every other club is rocketing along and fully cooking-with-gas? 🤔

Geez Terry, half full of what.... I'll have some 🤣

I'm a useless angler. I'm the type who sits there all day hoping that something decent comes along and bites my bait.
Instead, all I get is those stupid bloody puffer fish that are toxic.
Loyal WT supporters are the same. We keep waiting, and waiting and all that eventuates is disappointment.
Year after year after.......
So it is groundhog day against Parra.
Well here we are, I'm ready 😁

The best thing about Wests Tigers is the passionate fan base and a message to you board members The fans truly merged why can't you
As to our problems they are many starting with the poor roster ,poor admin and multiple home grounds.
It seems the CEO has goals like cash flow and balance sheet and center of excellence and above all " keep my job"
But the fans have completely different goals like win more games than we lose with the occasional game where we towel up the other team ,and make the play offs
