What is your 2017 forecast for us?

Hmmm..lot of negative nellies in here …surely it's just a tweak here a sacked coach there ...for Wests Tigers to win the Comp...

Pretty hard not to be negative though after last nights hoisting of the white flag, it was a pathetic, embarrassing capitulation when they had every incentive to bust their guts.
The season in general would probably only just get a pass mark but last night shouldnt be acceptable.

Way too early for this question…too many questions still unanswered.

Recruits?
Retention?
Defense coach?
Farah?

Head Coach?

For mine **we have to look to see if their is a better coaching option than Jason Taylor**. Nothing in his first two years in charge have me thinking we have the next Craig Bellamy. **I am sure their are many better coaching options available.**
Our recruitment doesn't look great for next year. We have a lot of talent in our 20s but other clubs will be out to poach the best of them.

I seriously think form the clubs below us that given the way it is looking, Eels, Roosters and Sea Eagles will all be better next year.

Unless serious changes are made we will be about 12-15 next year and that should be unacceptable.

**I am sure their are many better coaching options available.**
Who do you see as the main contenders? I cannot think of one PROVEN coach, who we could employ.

Geoff Toovey is a proven coach, I would take him in a heart beat over Jason Taylor.

Ivan Clearly if his son come as well would be a no brainer. Nathan Clearly in the halves with Mitch would be awesome.

Would also not be surprised if the Souths coach is available, would take him every day of the week over Jason Taylor.

Spot on !

We were a No Show last night
Lucky it wasnt a home game, id say demand money back watching them play that way.

The whole team should be equally ashamed after that show from last night..

Just feel the last two years have been largely wasted with the obsession of trying to oust Farah.
Don't think the club the players, Taylor the fans or anyone has benefited from it - and still not officially resolved.
Providing he goes next year there better be some noticeable and instant growth considering the determination shown by the coach to single him out as being the factor detrimental to the team moving forward.
No excuses left for the coach then and to some extent those who backed him.

The Farah saga has only been going on for 12 months. Perhaps there were issues beforehand when Taylor started (or even before Potter left), but from a media point of view, it has been 12 months.

Go said when Taylor joined that the salary cap issues will be around for 3-4 years. Taylor has not even got through 2 years yet. However, those constraints are likely to further dissipate next season. Definitely, there will be no excuses next season, but some on this forum just don't have patience or have some emotional issue with Taylor.

I think JT is safe for the first third if next year… If we're struggling at round 8 or 9 he could be in trouble

Top 8 finish but it depends on injuries especially someone like Teddy.

Moses is becoming a special player.

Still can't see the attraction with Brooks.

Aloila and JJ Feilse to become regular NRL players.

Would love to see Simona to wing and MCK to centre.

Maybe Hunt to half back and goal kicker

The circus rolls into town at the start of the year lots of talk about how we have improved with our new buys(we will get some).A complete new set of coaches except 1.Smiling faces all around including us supporters which will progressively get sadder as the season continues and the same pathetice defence and crazy selections bite us again.Hey its fun supporting us no wonder callan park 'hospital' used to be next to Liechhardt Oval

Brooks copping a bit on here. He clearly wasnt 100% last night, don't think he would of been rushed back so early had Teddy not been injured. Moses is leaving him in his dust though.

Is Taylor signed for next year? I thought his only guarantee for an extension was if we made the finals, which we haven't.

3 year contract. If we make the finals next year he could get an extension.

You are right. Year, after year ,after year.

I used to tell myself, , that each year would be better than the last, until I realised that we were fed the same BS each year.
The team is buying into the coaches plans.
We have so much potential
We just need to be patient
And the topper of them all. We're working hard on our defence
BS.

Maybe not win the comp but we aren't far off becoming a good team.

Moses has come on though hasn't he. He looks like he could be one of the best halves in the game. Clearly gets a lot of good press but I reckon Moses is more of a game breaker.

I like it. The best part is no Lovett or Rankin. The club needs to step in and be honest here. These two players should NOT be in the top 17 again unless we have injuries, players at rep duty etc. JT is kidding himself if he thinks they are first graders.

The absolute number 1 priority in the offseason should be to buy a proven goal kicker. It should be written on the top of the white board in block letters in the WT board room. That and sorting out this abysmal hooker policy. Please just play a recognised hooker at #9\. We are the only team that does it and we look like amateurs. I bet the players can't sometimes remember who is playing or defending where when we have three people rotating around so that a forward filling in at hooker can have a rest. It's just dumb and arrogant coaching.

This is why JT is a massive risk. He does dumb stuff too often. We need a quality hooker that can give good ball and make some good runs. It's not rocket science.

It's your assumption that they don't know, they're professionals who have been playing the game since they were 7 and 8 years old, I would assume they would know what they are doing. And don't worry about your precious #9, we'll have 2 of them in first grade next year.

If we rid ourselves of Taylor and Farah moves on we will be a top 8 team. If either of the two are at WT next year we will finish outside the 8 again. We need to sign a winger, centre, back up hooker and a good back rower.

The biggest question for me is the outside backs. Unlike many on here, I don't don't think MCK has enough pace to be our regular centre. I suspect Rankin will get moved on from wing for either a value purchase from elsewhere or one of our juniors.

If Kev & Tim are still our centres for next season, I would maybe consider moving Nofo away from Kev.
