What is your 2017 forecast for us?

Assuming/hoping for:

-Farah moves to a new club and we retain who we want.
-New defensive coach brings fresh training methods and instils real attitude.
-Improve the goal kicking %
-One or two of our younger blokes like JJ Felise steps up like Aloiai has
-Maybe jag a good replacement for JAC, you never know, someone like Carlin Anderson might solve a couple of issues - wing and goal kicking?

Add a slight improvement on this year and it is top 8\. But we are still a big body and good hooker short. Once again the young guys may come through later in the season.

I'm hoping Aloiai & Felise will make big steps up, with maybe another young forward to get blooded like Felise was this season. Settled hooker role focussed on Liddle. A genuine winger on the left. Moses taking control all season.

Avoiding injuries, I predict 8th.

It's more about filling some holes. I reckon in order we need:-

1\. A hooker
2\. A quality winger
3\. An impact forward

Then again we have Robbie being left out. It's pretty stupid.

Way too early for this question…too many questions still unanswered.

Recruits?
Retention?
Defense coach?
Farah?

Head Coach?

For mine we have to look to see if their is a better coaching option than Jason Taylor. Nothing in his first two years in charge have me thinking we have the next Craig Bellamy. I am sure their are many better coaching options available.

Our recruitment doesn't look great for next year. We have a lot of talent in our 20s but other clubs will be out to poach the best of them.

I seriously think form the clubs below us that given the way it is looking, Eels, Roosters and Sea Eagles will all be better next year.

Unless serious changes are made we will be about 12-15 next year and that should be unacceptable.

Top 4? Absolutely no chance , not even top 6.

I thinking our hooking position is in goods hands….Jacob Liddle was a class above last night, this kid is going places.
I don't know what's happening with Rod Griffin? He hasn't even been given a shot.

Next year will be more about organising the books for 2018 as next year we have the following players coming off contract: Tedesco, Rankin, Simona, Nofoaluma, Naiqama, Moses, Brooks, Woods, Farah, Aloiai, Sirro, Ava, Joel Edwards, Chee Cam, Tim Grant.

We have massive Cap space for 2018 and need an astute Coach to form what could potentially be an unbelievable Era coming up, for mine Brooks needs to go and can't fall in the trap of paying overs IMO.

I'm with Gold Coast tiger in the Prediction where will finish.

Depends on Brooks. Either he starts contributing in a consistent, meaningful way or 2017 is a write off and we need to find someone else.

Would love Nathan Cleary, can kick goals which is a bonus but that won't be happening.

If we have basically the same team and same structures as this year, I reckon we will finish just shy of the 8.

Who do you see as the main contenders? I cannot think of one PROVEN coach, who we could employ.

We will get beaten by Newcastle again. That goes without saying.
8th-12th looks about realistic. Then we will be in yet another rebuild phase at the end of 2017\. Last nights pitiful capitulation has really soured the outlook on 2017 IMO.

The bred , not bought policy needs to end IMO
Where has I got us of late ?
We need bigger backs , the players we have now are easily man handled .

10th - 12th is my prediction

Ivan Cleary as long as he bring Jr with him.

Hmmm..lot of negative nellies in here …surely it's just a tweak here a sacked coach there ...for Wests Tigers to win the Comp...

Just feel the last two years have been largely wasted with the obsession of trying to oust Farah.
Don't think the club the players, Taylor the fans or anyone has benefited from it - and still not officially resolved.
Providing he goes next year there better be some noticeable and instant growth considering the determination shown by the coach to single him out as being the factor detrimental to the team moving forward.
No excuses left for the coach then and to some extent those who backed him.

Moses to halfback, Liddle to hooker, a reliable goal kicker, a couple of big, hard running forwards and centers, one of whom is Chee-Kam . Teddy to stay uninjured.

Until the club sign a couple of dominating forwards things are not going to change that much to be honest..Brooks and Moses are just not getting on the front foot as the pack is being dominated most weeks, I do not write them off yet until they play behind a DOMINATE pack week in week out. There has to be a couple of bigger backs brought in as well as the 2 centres are just not doing it!
On the coach I do not care either way if he stays or goes ..but if he goes a coach with a proven coaching record at NRL level can only be signed as a rookie will be a disaster. Taylor is inhibited by the level of MOST of the talent he has at his disposal most are way of being able to rise the team into a top 4 spot and are struggling for an 8 spot .Hopefully with the circus of Farah gone this is a major plus but I really find it hard to think that next season is going to be much better, I watch most other games and this team is way Off on a week to week basis ..yes the odd game they go OK but for an overall season it really is not happening.
Priorities for mine is the club has to sign at least another 4 proven NRL players and a GOAL KICKER because as the saying goes I love so much No Kicker = No Finals footy.
I am not being negative here this is my honest assessment of the situation ,the club is going to have to find the money or next season could possible be worse .
