What should we do with Mitch Moses Money

Dont think Maloney will come to us, Chase Jack Bird.

He wants too much coin.

If Teddy leaves we play him at fullback. It's not too much coin.

Bird should be our priority IMO. Sign him irrespective of what happens.

If Teddy stays we have an origin premiership winning player at 5/8, if Teddy goes we have a origin premiership winning player at fullback, and we still have a Moses sized salary to offer to a Foran or Cronk.

The key is making sure we get a capable player in (hopefully Whare,) to partner Suli in the centres next year, a capable winger and an dominant pig. If McQueen is done, another capable second rower wouldn't go astray either.

Beer and Pizza party as a farewell gift to the Lads…

A month or so ago I thought people were crazy suggesting Widdop...but he certainly fits the bill...

Been saying it for ages , you saw 1st hand last week what Widdop did to us.
I'm glad the Club reads the Forum .

As much as Cooper Cronk would be an awesome signing he would only be a 2 year fix and then we start again he will be 34 next year so there's not a lot left in him.
I wouldn't trust signing a Foran character but there is no doubt on his day his brilliant

My only concern with Widdop was last year he was going like a busted behind a Pack that were going like busted's every other week (sounds similar)..

This year though the Dragons pack with the addition of Vaughn and McInnes on top of Packer Frizzle Thompson and De Belin are dominating teams through the middle allowing Widdop more time …In other words the Dragons Pack has improved Widdop rather than Widdop improving the Dragons...

Foran or Mbye is the right choice for mine to partner Luke, but I'd have an attempt to bring Ryan Matterson to the club to play 6 for a year while we build our structure around the halves.

Then move Ryan into our Backrow Stocks a year later

Widdop hasn't improved Dragons? Righto

If I'm correct Geo is saying that by the forwards improving, they are allowing Widdop to play his game which is obviously beneficial to the Dragons. Widdop is playing better by proxy, which is generally what happens when your halves are given room by the pigs.

The Moses money was pulled off the table partly because the club's fear that the salary cap will only be ~8.2mil. I don't see how we can then consider spending that same amount on a Maloney or Foran (unless we miss out on Tedesco and or Woods).

I respect the right of every player to play their cards close to their chest during negotiations. You can't come out and say "I love the tigers and I only ever want to play for them" cos it will reduce your value. I don't mind Woods saying that he wants to know who the coach will be and what the direction will be. If he stays, then I think a lot of the slander at him at the moment will be proven unjustified. Moses on the other hand, saying that he will be better off in a team that is going somewhere, that is a dog-act and sounds reminiscent of Ben Teo. Very low indeed.

No doubt about that, but I've seen Widdop single handedly turn games around for the Dragons and win some aswell.
Widdop is a quality player with great vision with great anticipation.
There is Players that single handedly make a huge difference in a side and Widdop is one of them, Dugan also improved there attack. Like us we loose Teddy we loose any spark that our side has.
There X Factor players that are proven in the game something Brooks and Moses can't claim to.

Jack Bird is perfect fit. Takes on the line will compliment Brooks well.
Spend that money Ivan. Send Moses on the next train to Parramatta. I'll even pay the cab fare if the train is too poverty for his kind.

Plenty of options - I think Widdop & Matulino would be my choice of that lot, though I suspect Widdop will stay @ St G.
We should definitely have a look at all of the above though, and push their price up if nothing else - may help us retain other players.

Go after Maloney., good kicking game, goal kicker , can lead a team around, is a proven winner
Better than Widdop, much more consistent

agree 100% - according to the Lurker - yes i know, not the Lurker again - Cronulla knocked back a request for an upgrade to his contract and James and manager are not too happy. Feelers are out to other clubs.

By all accounts Maloney is being shopped around …signing him plugs many holes in this roster .The Tigers are in a good position for recruitment for next year as there are some very handy types on the market or the secret shopped around variety .
