What will the Board make of Taylor getting heckled and booed?

We have been in the business of sacking coaches for a while now without any success, so we take the other option and have the gall to actually look at the players and the indians start to get restless.

I want a club to actually be in the hunt for success most Septembers and not **once every blue moon**, now Taylor might be wrong with the Farah move, but really we need yo start winning or we are dead

It is funny you mention this….5 of our 8 wins this year have coin-sided with a Full Moon ...i kid you not....including today's

i think their bigger worry is only getting 6 700 people to the game on a nice sunny afternoon.assume that 700 of those were warriors supporters and you have 6000 loyal supporters watching the game.

supporters are voting with their feet. you arent going to pay too many bills with 6000 paying customers,are you.

the club and playing group need strong leadership ,which isnt forthcoming at present. i dont think taylor is doing a particularly good job in either coaching the team nor being a public relations contact.

6700 people to a home game wont cut it . money talks all languages.

something has to give. i think it should be taylor.

Not 100% true about sacking coaches. Tim Sheens had a very long tenure at our club, far more than most coaches get at a club. Yes he was sacked with time remaining on his contract but in reality he should never have been offered an extended deal (our finals appearance record was not very good under him either). Mick Potter saw out his two year contract.

Your last point is the most important we need to start winning and making finals. Personally I feel sacking Jason Taylor and replacing him with a better coach and keeping Robbie for another year or two gives us more chance to make the finals than keeping Jason Taylor as coach.

There is a lot of emotion here, and a champ like Robbie deserves better than a bloke thats been here for a year!

This is the same set of supporters that chucked in 15k for Taniela so he could get an op.

Yep, and lets face it, all the hullabaloo about Farah and how he's so hard done by yet only 6000 turn out. His support isn't that healthy across the fan base. I don't think people are really that saddened by the ending of Pat and Keith either. Not saying that they don't deserve cred at all, but numbers at the ground speak volumes. As for the board and their thoughts on the booing, well they wouldn't be doing cartwheels, but would have been prepared to ride out the impending storm at the time of making the decision.

Funny thing is…I watched the game today as I had to work yesterday,that's why I couldn't go to Campbo.......
I could not believe there was so much hugging and carrying on,just to cement the thought of we are close in this team,after the claims of RF not being close to some of the playing group....as far as the booing of JT,absolutely no need for it ,if we are a close knit fan base as many have said...we wanted and needed change,now it is being undertaken some don't like it.....many businesses have made hard decisions and have gone on to prosper and become very viable commodities...

The other funny thing is..when Sheens went,RF was in the centre of attention,when potter left Robbie was in the centre of attention,it seemed like it was Robbies way or the highway....and they both were shown the highway.....

Now that Robbies been shown the highway,we have a magnificent turnaround of our performance and Robbie decided to play HIS own style....well,well,what style will they have to play when he does eventually leave....... :slight_smile:

Taylor deserves to be heckled … Robbie played HIS game, and had a blinder, NOT taylors game ... all the players can lift themselves when they are coached right .. taylor is not a coach ... he should be heckled and sent on his way ... so many fans wont renew memberships nor attend their games while taylor is there ..nor will a sponsor back a wooden spoon team .. what coach says, it doesnt matter about winning ???? taylor thats who and all the other inane comments he makes ... boring games ... wests tigs are ridiculed ... thanks to taylor .. this team is on the way out

Not much really… The season is a write off and only 1 week remains before the management can bunker down and hope this media massacre goes away.

If the fans still react like this next year, I'm certain they will be forced into making a decision. But, history shows us that once the player moves on, and the team starts winning, these fan based reactions die a slow death.

Taylor needs 2 things to happen in 2016 or he will be punted.

1\. Farah has a new club.
2\. He wins more games than he losses.

The Board is about the business off creating a mechanism where more games can be won >More revenue.

If I was on the board today, I would be watching to see if JT has the Steel in his spine to back himself.

I think he does, I hope he knows that despite the PR disaster, PR does not build defensive structures and motivation to fight on.

That is disgraceful. People should go to the game cheer on the team, cheer on Farah and enjoy a good, sunny afternoon at the footy. Really sad to hear about that sort of thing. No one deserves that.

Behaviour like this basically loses the resolve for the fans.

All those fans who wanted to send a message to the club have now been pidgin holed as grubs by the actions of a few.

Spitting on people is disgusting and completely unnecessary. You go there to protest about the lack of respect for a player and then in turn do something as repulsive as that?

If anyone chooses to condone that behaviour they're just as big a grub as the spitters.

The problem with this view is that it is not based on what really happened. Taylor and WT management dealt with this very privately in order to show Farah respect and maintain his dignity. Someone else, who thought they had something to gain, made the information public. Your comment is just one way we can now see what the release of that information has done. I wonder who stood to gain by releasing that information?
