Apparently the handout that the NRL will give all clubs through the suspension wont be equal. The clubs in financial trouble are going to get more than the clubs that have been financially managed well. Hasn't gone down too well at some clubs. So much for no club will be bailed out.
That was only 1 possible scenario..At this stage every Club is receiving 1.2m each per month for 3 months..
Is that through existing funds available through the NRL, or in anticipation of a bailout?

Manly Warriors and Gold Coast are the one's most at risk given their current funding models...
Wests Tigers are toward the higher end of current Clubs..

Still know lots of north sydney bears supporters that gave up on league and went to afl when they went.
Maybe they can convince saints to move to woolongong permantently and play 1 or two a year at kogarah.
We have already merged so i dont think it is right we put our hands up again, they wont want to lose the emblem so i think we survive as we represent inner west and also campbletown etc.
Also hoping wests ashfield and Harry T can work out something to assist us along with Brydens.
Dogs have a huge leagues club but represent a small area if we have long shuydowns they might struggle
Roosters well no juniors or crowds if they didnt have Politis they would be stuffed and gone for sure.
Souths a bit like roosters but have a following and russel crowe so may be ok
Penrith huge leagues club they must be bleeding money if it is a long hiatus
Parramatta in the same boat leagues club but no huge backers i think they may struggle.
Potential merge parra and penrith to Parramatta panthers
Kick out the warriors
Manly look in trouble with the Penn family i mean at some point they will likely sell
interesting times ahead although deep down i think now afl and nrl has shut game when needed the government will kick in sone cash, closing the games makes a shutdown seem real now.
If we had Keating and his love of antique clocks or Bob Carr and his love of the arts we as a game might struggle.
Also we need to work out how we can get some of the government stadium grant for ANZ redistributed to assist the nrl when we are back and running it can help prop up the comp
Penn would have sold out ages ago if he could have found a buyer.Manly will be very hard pressed to get a buyer now even at rock bottom prices,if i was a manly supporter i would be very concerned about their future.Quite possibly the first club to go
It will be a Super league type scenario and what that will mean is who ever buys the game will add clubs that they want and startup clubs in an area they like .
You see in 6 months time most of the Sydney clubs will be bankrupt and unlike the super league war no one will have an option! There will be no competition this year ... the Olympics are gone for gods sake ! Rugby league is now a Tv sport that corporations will own what the game was will no longer exsist!
Well that's bleak.
On the flip side, comp could start up in 5 months with a shortened 2020 tournament. Each team plays 2 games a week over 5 rounds, finals to follow. Season 2021 starts are normal but the game now has a new fan base and existing fans have a deeper appreciation of the game now they know life without it. Memberships skyrocket, attendances are through the roof and its the start of a golden era for rugba leeg.
Also, parra fold.

Hasn’t gone down too well with Souths in particular. Apparently nobody helped them when they got kicked out, so not overly willing to assist anyone else now.

Hopefully they don't. Hopefully someone else will see the value and take over.

Except the fans from the whole league marched to get them back in when the NRL was not legally obliged to return them...
