Was anyone else relieved? They had been parked on our line most of the half and never looked like scoring (apar from the dive from dummy half), I was very confident we were going to hold them out again.

This is a feeling I don't think I've ever had as a wests tigers fan, in the past I would have been praying that they'd have taken the 2, knowing that we would have given in eventually. It's a huge credit to Taylor how quickly he has turned this around. After 5 rounds we have the second best defence. What a turn around!

Yeah I think that was a massive game changer when just before half time they could of gone in the sheds 8-0 up as appose to 6-4 up.
The game was such an arm wrestle that wasn't decided till the last 7 minutes I reckon
Eels 8-0 up might have just gotten them home maybe?
 
I think they thought with the amount of pill they had they should've been up by more than one try. Personally, I would have taken the two.
 
It's a totally different second half 8-0 compared to 6-4\. Down 2 tries we have to chase points. We can't calmly break the game down like we did.

Yes very relieved! In hindsight it was a bad decision on their part, but you're right, in previous years our goal line defence would've crumbled. It's a great feeling knowing that our line won't crack so easily now and how good was it to be the team scoring right on half time for once instead of conceding it :mrgreen:

i dont think mannah was on the field- mightve been peats the captain

but i think defs heard watbro say "f it, let's just go for it" and then vossy apologised for the curse words.
 
I think they were looking for the "coaches call" from the trainer but couldn't hear it because the Parra chant went up. As time was ticking They decided to make there own call.

I was listen the the game via sports ears and I am 100% certain I heard the refs say they are going for 2 then all of a sudden they took the tap…

I was shocked when they went for the try instead of the simple penalty, and VERY relieved when they lost it shortly afterwards.
 
I told the Mrs and the son they lost the game right there

They go in at 8-0 and I reckon we would of panicked and lost that game

Anytime you get a chance to lead by more than one try with a high percentage play you take it . Period , End of story

Unfortunately when you have two blokes under 21 with few games under their belts ,they will panic from time to time
 
Fittler - I think it was….on MMM said the call came from the coaching staff to take to two..they went against it..he was saying Arhtur will be fithy at half time

Definitely heard that, though wasn't sure if it was Watmough or Sandow. Obviously getting impatient with the trainers and their own petty attack.

I agree they should have taken the kick - but maybe instead of panicking it might have woken us up from the lethargy.
As much as I prefer winning to the alternate option I would prefer we didn't have to wait until the last 10 minutes to do it.
