Where does Jason Taylor go with our great hooker policy now?!

Back on the topic of this post, which is where does JT fo with our great hooker policy. Well the club has 4 recognised hookers. Liddle in the under 20s and cant play due to salary cap restrictions. Ballin injured and out for the year. Farah dropped and playing reserves today. And suprise suprise the man we were meant to go back to our final recognised hooker also played reserves today. 2 recognised hookers , one a SOO player and the other toured with the NZ team last year. So lets play Halatau (retiring at the end of the year) and possibly Edwards (never played hooker in the NRL) or even better lets move our best forward Elijah. Please how can anyone here still defend this. Put personal crap aside as a coaching decision its ludicrous. We will win tomorrow because the dragons are sooooo bad, but how is this helping us with the remainder of the season and getting into semis.

Edwards could be a good Hooker, he was the worst backrower I've seen for a long time in his first attempt in first grade here.
So far , he's the dud buy of the year for us, hope he's improved
At least he hasn't got two dicky knees

If the coach wants his nine to pass off the deck without fluffing around and/or trying for hopeful at best penalties, like a lot that are even those supporting that player now want, well what choice does he have when said player does not do it. Easy, you drop him, which is just what he has finally been allowed to do.

I would have preferred a returning from injury Cherrington to be there today, but will stand by the club no matter who is dummy half against the dragons. Have been writing about our pedestrian service on here as have a few others for a long time, so it is about time something was done.

What about the players who consistently have no idea in defence. Who constantly rush up and tackle no one and let 2 /3 tries in a game. Should we not do something about that considering we have the second worst defence in the league.

Yes, and they are working on it at training. Personally, I would have Sirro there on rotation, where I feel he was superior defensively and would do much better overall playing the greatly reduced minutes his replacements are asked to produce.

^^^ hillarious. Formerguest wants better ruck service so fully backs the decision to sack the current SOO dummy half (which may improve our chances of winning) yet when someone demands better defence on our right (which will DEFINETLY improve our chances of winning) he makes excuses for inaction. Like I said…hillarious.

So where is the excuse and what is left open for interpretation from the word "Yes" in reply to his question? Please enlighten me.

It's easier to coach one player to improve his service then teach 3 or 4 guys how to defend together. You applaud one player's sacking yet have no problem with inaction on the far more destructive issue of right side defence.

Under Taylor I'd argue Farah's service has changed and he does look for Broses more than he used to, the right side however are just as aweful as they were in March 2015\. They may have even got worse.

I agree with all this, bar your assumption that I have no problem with the right side issues.

Farah has altered his style for WT somewhat this season to suit the team, but not enough for mine. I no longer like the guy, but have still applauded him a few times this season whilst some around me in the crowd to my annoyance are chanting his name. I will continue to support him when he is wearing our colours on the field, but happy to see the back of him.

I think something that should be noted is that Robbie has provided better service than any other dummy half option we've had this year.

So all the talk about his poor service is a little on the nose for mine.

So why did you credit him and the selectors when we were wining?

GNR, Gallagher

Do you want me to find the posts praising Taylor when we won against Souths? Praising him when we won 2 in a row? Bagging Farah when he opend his mouth? Bagging Farah that he was playing average football?

IM capable of doing both. I dont just sit on one side of the argument. I can praise Taylor and call him out. You guys cant bring yourselves to do that.

I talk about the coach when we win and when he lose as he is accountable for winning and losing.

You blokes when every poor selection is made try and talk about Oneill.

Oh Buckets bought in the Pizzas thats why we lost!!!

Oh Buckets is in the coaching box he must be in his ear!!

Oh Buckets is picking the team now so its not Taylors fault!!

If thats not deflecting im not sure what it.

Keep digging though

Keep it going though its entertaining.

Is it ever JTs fault at all guys??

The briliant and masterful JT can do no wrong…Ever :master:

Either can Robbie , still has blood on his hands from having Sheens and Potter sacked and would be working on Taylor as well but everyone ignores that

Again show me one other player who gets involved in club politics and can be genuinely linked to having coaches sacked

And here's me thinking that coach-sacking is the boards decision.

True , so why does Robbie insist in getting involved time after time

If it ended with Sheens , I would have given him the benefit of the doubt

But it has happened again TM

There's no proof of that Happy

Which one Stryker

Sheens said senior players sacked him ,Robbie was the most senior and didn't deny it

Potter well Ayoub acknowledged he said that to Tallis

And if you don't think that Robbie would get rid of Taylor in an instant if he could , he would

All the power he had in the past is gone

I can still remember a Ch 9 Footy Show interview he gave the day before they went to Townsville where he was talking about how he hadn't spoken a word to Mayer for a while

What would 95% of others players done in that situation , dead batted it

Which is what Robbie should of done , he is one of the major faces at our club , he can't create turmoil every time he doesn't get his way or doesn't like someone

All conjecture, opinions and guess work. None of them confirmed it was him.

Are you calling Ayoub a liar

Of course.
I'm also saying people's agendas are easily swayed by rumour. I've heard it said (by a select group) on here that Robbie is a coach slayer. They ramble on using the same tired innuendo that is without an ounce of proof.

I disagree. The best service was Ballin, unfortunately we did not get to see it long enough. I am hoping he is back to full fitness next year as he provides better dummy half service and better defence (actually stops ball carriers, rather than clinging onto them while they make 12m) than any other option at the club. If he has a year or 2 left in him, that should be enough time to bring Liddle up to full-time 1st grade rake.

If I had a player manager dump me into that creek with a barbed wire canoe for no reason and create a massive poo storm I'd sack before he took his next breath

I'm wrong , Robbie must be a good bloke , we've all got him wrong , stand down Robbie haters ,stand down

Gotta love optimism…Ballin is done.
