Where is Oneill in all this?

Maybe JT was happy to wear this one. The media already has it in for him anyway.

More likely than not, Taylor _wants to own_ this decision and it's the same in the corporate world. Strong business leaders put their hand up and _own_ the big and generally unpopular decisions (eg: staff redundancies). The press conference showed that to me, especially when he was asked if the younger players in the squad have pressed for Farah to be dropped. He poured water on that suggestion straight away and owned the decision.

History could possibly judge that press conference as one of the big turning points in the culture of the club.

The one that says Taylor is gone will Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon this one.

agreed, if we win our next 2 games i have a strong suspicion we'll be inside the 8 (or maybe just outside at 9th).

and if that does happen, JT is a genius and farah is an outcast within a couple of weeks. just take a look at our record with and without farah

if it doesnt, then we'll have a 950k player next season and probably not jason taylor at the helm

Lets be real, if we can't beat saints who are hopeless and parra who have no players left we are not fit to be in the 8, so win our next 2 games doesn't really make JT a genius, Terry Lamb could coach us to win the next 2 games.

Parra have shown a lot of resolve through all the crap they have gone through. One of the few games I watch in league…

Even if we win All of our remaining games, we'll still have a 950k hooker in reserve grade enjoying the easiest weekends of his career, not a bad way to earn a quid.
This club continues to prove what idiots they are.

I know what they say. What they say to the public and what they do behind closed doors are two different things.
NO way Taylor would have done this without the support or some sort of approval from his boss.

They sure wont be stupid to give an approval in writing

If Robbie survives this Taylor wont.
Those other 2 will deny any part in demoting Farah to ISP

They definitely do. Farah is guaranteed $950,000 (as reported)& the Dragons pay him $100,000 a season (the Tigers must agree) then the Tigers are required to pay him $850,000 which is included in their salary cap.

The NRL wouldn't register Farah for lees than $500k if the Dragons were to sign him .

I don't think it would be as high as $500K but yeah, it would be more than $100K-$200K that the NRL would insist on as a minimum.

There was an agreement between the club and Farah to keep him in first grade up until State Of Origin.

If that's true, JT actually did him a favour by not dropping him earlier. Contrary to what some are saying about this decision being made out of spite.

What was the other part of the deal? There must have been something in the clubs favour?

 yeah right oh :unamused: and what did the Club get in return of this agreement ? that Robbie will cancel out his final year .

So your saying the Club was prepared to put a wrench in our future planning of Cherrington to accommodate Farah until Origin at the expense of maybe loosing a great hooker for many years to come .
Don't believe it for a minute  . We have a Coach who is desperate to prove that he has what it takes and his on borrowed time to prove that….but his going to allow Farah a player he wants out of the Club till 3/4 of the Season to be in his side .

Yeah and i thought Taylor had control of the side , thanks for the laugh

 C'mon mate it's pretty predictable now to say he will move on after this though .
If there was an agreement i doubt he would be sent of in this fashion .

Robbie would of fronted the media and announced that he was moving on at Season's end and that these events were already agreed with the Club previously .
Don't know why Jason had to pull Robbie aside when this was already agreed with the Club or was it agreed to put him in the team sheet and next Day drop him to Reserves and just humiliate him while we are at it .
You should of given us a heads up weeks ago this was going to occur , there wouldn't be such a meltdown on here
